Impala suckling Kruger National Park South Africa

This is the most common antelope of the bushveld regions of South Africa.  Impala are typically found in three distinct social groups, the female herds, the bachelor herds and the territorial bulls.  Mating season happens toward the end of the wet season in May then 6-7 months later a single calf is born which will stay with its mother for 4-6 months.
