This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 7 images chosen by readers picking a number out of my photo archives. Quite a few Grand Canyon shots plus a few oldies.
Jo chose #499, “Just because it’s one before 500, LOL!” I took this photo just because a full moon was rising above the canyon walls.
Bibi chose #20, “today’s date as I type.” Knowing that she’s no bigger fan of cold weather than I am so thinking this place along the Sea of Cortez in San Felipe Baja Mexico might warm us both up a bit. Maybe we could rent this house. Who wants to join me?
Yogi chose #666, “again, I know that is boring to some but my partnership with the devil is working out well for me.” Your ‘partnership’ got a road shot driving up onto the Kaibab Plateau from the north where I sometimes shop, 85 miles from the North Rim. I like how you can see the road cut switching back and forth. And bonus the moon.
Sherry chose #616. Last week you saw the Hopi glass blower at Native American Heritage Days held annually at the North Rim of Grand Canyon. Here’s a close up of working the glass and adding some color on the marving table. I really hope Sherry gets to see this next year.
Diane chose #696, a glittery sunset on Wotan’s Throne from Cape Royal, a marvelous overlook at the North Rim. I sure am looking forward to this view again in the spring.
Arija chose #123, yet another sunset taken at the North Rim, this one from the Transept trail. Do you see a face in that rock?
MaryBeth chose #1, “because Bob’s birthday is the 1st month of this new year and he is #1 in my life now.” Back in 2002, Dale the fisherman was my #1 guy, and here he shows off his salmon prize caught in the Columbia River. We traveled together for several years on the flea market circuit.
My choice this week… With only 20 days until touch down the call to South Africa gets louder and more intense. Can barely wait to see these marvelous giants again.
Thank you for joining in Foto Friday Fun. I really enjoy digging through my archives and pulling the stories from my memories. To join in the fun for next week leave a number between 1 and 1000 in a comment and maybe see your chosen image next week.
