In celebration of Solstice a Kruger National Park sunrise.
I’m so rarely up early enough to catch sunrise that when I do I am in total awe.
Of course when camping I do tend to go to bed earlier than at home where the computer and internet distract me into wee hours of the morning.
I didn’t even have to crawl out of my sleeping bag or tent to watch the magic unfold.
Just set up the tripod and enjoyed the view.
Plus the ultimate in peace and quiet.
To view more skies from around the world go to Sky Watch Friday.
Sunrise over Mount Ayliff far Eastern Cape
After the car wreck and a night in Mount Frere I headed off to trade in the rental car. It was a beautiful yet lonely highway towards Kokstad just over the border back into KwaZulu-Natal. Unfortunately, I had to continue driving for hours to Margate on the coast to exchange the crunched VW Citi Golf for a Yaris.
