This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 10 readers including moons at sunset, a leopard in a tree, a place that looks like Bryce, and my Mom and Dad.
Jim and Diana chose #4, VOTE! My Mom and Dad were celebrating their birthdays, only four days apart at Dianna’s in Chicago Illinois in June 1974. I have no idea how they ever voted as politics was one of several taboo subjects in my childhood home.
Cathy chose #8967, “for my two favorite drives…” Both would be taken to visit the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park where this shot of the moon at sunset was taken 10-6-14.
Doris chose #9808. While on safari one has to look closely in trees for the well camouflaged leopard like this in Pilanesberg Game Reserve in South Africa during my last trip in 2014.
Yogi chose #6645. I like the shapes of trees even when long dead and the boulders made a nice background along the Hidden Valley trail in Joshua Tree National Park, California.
Rita chose #4323. Notice the long low cloud hanging over the South Rim of Grand Canyon as seen from the North Rim.
Diane and Nigel chose #2310. I visited Hovenweep National Monument with Bill—who they’ve met—during a lunar eclipse on 9-27-15.
Susie chose #0489. Seen in Pilanesberg Game Reserve, this Buffalo and Egret don’t seem to care if it’s Hippo Loop.
Jodee and Bill chose #9421. I spent my 60th birthday at Augrabies Falls National Park South Africa.
Sallie and Bill chose #1120. The view downstream along the Colorado River to Lees Ferry and beyond to the Vermilion Cliffs, Marble Canyon Arizona 4-30-10.
Sherry chose #1029, “the day I finally head south. First stop, Santee State Park to visit Congaree National Park.” I’ve already headed south away from Bryce Canyon National Park, which this is not. Instead it is Cedar Breaks National Monument, same rock.
My choice from Aspen Mirror Lake, similar to the last post.
