Chapman’s Peak Drive twists along the Atlantic coast between Noordhoek and Hout Bay with sheer drops to the sea below and towering mountains rising above. Thank goodness for the many pull offs to enjoy the view. First opened in 1922 then closed in the 90s after a rockfall caused death. Reopened in 2005 with some added protection for motorists and bicyclists. I love these curvy roads even driving on the left. Would you ride a bicycle here?
