This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by nine readers including several foggy Grand Canyon views, a tall tower, mountains and canyons.
Cathy chose #9362. A prickly bouquet of Beavertail cactus in Congress, Arizona from 4-14-15.
Jo chose #2805, the day she received a Weigh-Less award. In this shot I was awarded a view through the low foggy clouds of the Colorado River curving around the Unkar Delta in the Grand Canyon seen from the North Rim 6-10-15.
Rita chose #4173. My dinning view of sunset at the Riviera Hartenbos along the Garden Route in South Africa 3-24-10.
Alan chose #2328. The 3000 foot view almost straight down to the Colorado River from Toroweap overlook on the North Rim of Grand Canyon during my first visit 9-27-10.
Jeff chose #528, “our 38th wedding anniversary.” Happy belated looking up at Grand Canyon’s North Rim Lookout Tower where presumably Edward Abbey hung out in the 60s. Of course I climbed it, back in 2009.
Diane and Nigel got #2905, because they always choose the date but forgot last week. This very unusual phenomenon called a Glory was seen on a foggy day from Cape Royal on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park.
Sue chose #1997, “when I hiked Little Wildhorse with a good friend.” In 2010 I hiked in the Drakensburg Mountains of South Africa with a good blogger friend’s son.
Doris chose #172, “the miles I drove from my house to the Catskills last week.” A place I’ve only seen pictures of. The same could be said of the bottom of Grand Canyon until I hiked rim to rim the first time in 2008. This rather out of whack panorama was taken on the North Kaibab trail in The Box along Bright Angel Creek before reaching Phantom Ranch.
Sherry chose #6222. A fog shrouded view of Wotans Throne from Cape Royal on the North Rim Grand Canyon on 8-13-14.
My choice, a lazy sunset from the RV door. That’s what happens at the end of a 40-hour work week.
