This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 10 readers including stained glass, slot canyons, and ancient rock.
Cathy chose #3476. A giant metal sculpture dragon at Galleta Meadows by Ricardo Breceda in Borrego Springs, California.
Alan chose #8191. A short but sweet slot canyon along the White Domes Trail at Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada.
Sue chose #29 for the morning temperature in Winnemucca last week. Must have been warmer than that with butterflies around, though these are some of my earliest stained glass projects in 1980.
Gypsy chose #5420, “date of move to my current abode.” This slot canyon was visited when my camper abode was in Anza Borrego Desert State Park in California. Note the boulder wedged in at the top.
Diane and Nigel chose #110. An ancient Puebloan basket in the museum at Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado from when I worked there in 2005.
Rita chose #88. More stained glass now from 1987 when I was teaching the craft in Wenatchee, Washington.
Sherry chose #605. I love the shape of skeletal trees. This one seen along Bright Angel Point trail on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park.
Jennifer got #11 for the number of words in her last week’s comment. Yet another stained glass piece I designed and built in 1980, my ex-husband made the wooden frame.
Jeff chose #672, “for the 6.72 inch shortfall” of San Diego’s water year that just ended. Don’t see much water in southern Utah but that’s how Buckskin Gulch slot canyon formed from flowing water.
Jo chose #9576. Most amazing sandstone features seen along the hike to the Wave.
