This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by seven readers including a lot of low clouds, Christmas, and a young me.
Melissa chose #1224, “because that is the day I found out how well you keep a secret!” That secret was her daughter getting her one of my calendars for a Christmas present. And this shot wasn’t in it. But I’m in this shadow shot on the Navajo Bridge that crosses the Colorado River at Marble Canyon.
Yogi chose #6259. This foggy view of Grand Canyon was taken at the Cape Royal overlook on the North Rim.
Diane and Nigel chose #2712. Lots of cattle grazing goes on the BLM land in northern Arizona and thus fence and gates.
Jennifer chose #63. Mom and me in 1956.
Jo chose #2003, one of two in a panorama. She will recognize the Drakensburg Mountains in her back yard where her son guided me on an overnight hike during my first visit to South Africa in 2010.
Jeff chose #2924, “as Clemson defeated Ohio State 29-4 to advance to the finals.” This might have been my final shot of the day at Cape Royal on the North Rim Grand Canyon.
Rita chose #4987. Hopi Hoop dancer Derek Suwaima-Davis at the North Rim Grand Canyon’s 2014 Heritage Days.
My choices to catch up to 2020. The first three shots from a Christmas drive with a friend along the Joshua Tree Highway and looped back on the Bagdad Road for a crested Saguaro and home for purple rain. The last shot is a reverse sunrise through a very dirty window as my first shot of the year, with my phone. Next post from the desert.
Thank you for playing along with Foto Friday Fun which allows me to share these photographs and memories. Please join in next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment below.
