I thought I’d lived in just about all the mobiles possible: Vega, truck camper, school bus, trailer, motor home and 5th-wheel.
All it really lacks is windows and a back porch. And maybe a wood stove.
We pulled out of Grand Canyon Thursday at 10:45am, me pulling the 5th-wheel and Mike following in his jeep.
The new truck tows like a dream.
Stopped at Jacob Lake for lunch and Mike decided to look at their Native American jewelry. He bought this casted cuff bracelet made by Navajo Aaron Anderson and it came with the tufa carved mold.
We are parked at the Crazy Horse Campark in Kanab.
With a marvelous view.
Right next to the cemetery, a quiet place. We could see the 5th-wheel (center) from dinner at Escobars. Wonderful Mexican food.
Will be here a few days and having some work done on my truck early next week. So Saturday we’re going hiking in Buckskin Gulch slot canyon.
Had a 5th-wheel hitch installed in Flagstaff. Now I’ll be ready to roll in October.
So now I’m reversing my journey. Back past Mt Humphreys.
Back through the Painted Desert.
Past Echo Cliffs.
Across the Colorado River on Navajo Bridge.
Past the Vermilion Cliffs.
Up onto the Kaibab Plateau.
Probably a stop at Jacob Lake for a milkshake.
Through the 2006 Warm Fire burn.
And the Kaibab National Forest.
To home where it might be raining.
