After four glorious days floating 138 Colorado River miles it was time to return to work at the North Rim. And what a way to go.
Up, up and away.
Pilot, Galen, flew us over the Grand Canyon to the west of the no-flight zone.
The big picture is even more mind boggling than standing on the rim.
And the river I just came off of.
Smoke from the Point fire which burned and smoldered all summer.
Leaving some of the view a little smoky.
Beefalo on a meadow in the Kaibab National Forest.
Forest Road 22 at Jacob Lake cut off.
Grand Staircase Escalante.
Kanab, Utah. And I can’t believe it’s over.
