On this last day of 2013 I reflect and feel grateful that I get to work and play at Grand Canyon for half the year. Of course I don’t get this Toroweap view every day but it’s only a few hours away.
Just before dusk the lions came out and laid on the warm road where they may sleep for the night. At Kruger National Park in South Africa the animals always have right away.
With a clear summer sky the night lights at Grand Canyon South Rim can easily be seen from the Grand Lodge on the North Rim.
