I saw the full moon last night but slept through this mornings partial lunar eclipse. Did you see it?
Solar eclipses are always accompanied by lunar eclipses, either two weeks before or two weeks after. At maximum eclipse, approximately one-third of the moon’s face was covered by Earth’s dark umbral shadow. At that time the moon was overhead for observers in the South Pacific. The next total lunar eclipse easily visible for all of North America will occur on the night of April 14-15, 2014.
Check what time you’ll be able to see Tuesday’s Venus Transit. I won’t be sleeping through that and hope to take lots of photos.
