This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 10 readers including rock and slot canyons, full moon, family and me.
Rita chose #1107. Visited Death Valley National Park for the February 2016 Super Bloom. No flowers in sight looking way down on the Badwater Basin from Dante’s View.
Cathy chose #0058. Just a crescent of sun shows while exiting the annular eclipse seen 5-20-12 from the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park.
Diane and Nigel chose #17. Ever the funny man, my Dad, Mom, and Aunt Kay (Dad’s sister) on the beach at San Padre Island during a visit to Texas in March 2005.
Jo chose #13, “my lucky number.” From American folklore at the Trees of Mystery in California, presumably life size Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox, visited in June 2002. Fence and light poles are normal size.
Gypsy chose #1210, “for the date my Golden Doodle Sandy May came to be with me again.” She is such a wonderful smart dog who would know to stay out of the cactus seen on the flanks of the Weaver Mountains not far from where they live in Arizona.
Jeff chose #1810, “for the first time ever two teen gals played for the US Open final. The 18 year old from the UK beat the 19 year old from Canada. It was close.” It was also close walls of rock when hiking in parts of a slot canyon along Willis Creek.
Jennifer gets #0006. Arriving to work on the North Rim Grand Canyon 4-26-15 provided a morning view of much white.
Wanda chose #24. A seven month old me.
Doris chose #758. Although not taken the first time I visited, I still remember my disbelief seeing meadows and forest along the drive into the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park across the Kaibab National Forest of northern Arizona.
Sallie and Bill chose #927. Another Utah slot canyon, Wire Pass on the way to Buckskin Gulch hiked 10-22-11.
My choices from September’s full moon are considerations for the September 2022 calendar. Which one do you prefer?
