Must be time to make choices for the 2022 Geogypsy calendar. As Autumn approaches I feel the tug of looking through what I consider the “Best of” photos taken since last September 2020 to present. Always more than the 13 needed even after being as discriminant as possible, they are my favorites after all. I need help making choices for the 2022 Geogypsy calendar and because you are typically the folks buying my calendar, thank you very much, I offer you options. I’m going to try and break this into two or three posts, linked together. Pick 5-6 out of this group by leaving their numbers in your comment. Also, let me know if you’re interested in purchasing a calendar and I’ll start that list and get back to you with more info when I have it.
Starting with oldest to newest:
#1 – A drive over the Markagunt Plateau during early October more than met expectations for striking Autumn colors of Quaking Aspen. Duck Creek Lake, Dixie National Forest, Utah.
#2 – The tenacity of this tree reflects how I felt at the end of the 2020 Bryce Canyon season, deserving respect for surviving, not quite ready to jump, but certainly ready to move to warmer climate.
#3 – I have a love of trees, all colors and shapes! Returning to the desert and welcomed by a shadow dancing Kokopelli under a Palo Verde tree. Ghost Town Road, Congress, Arizona
#4 – Autumn comes late to the Sonoran desert yet still displays golden colors under daytime sunshine to match. Ghost Town Road, Congress, Arizona
#5 – Mesquite framed sunset. The shape of trees captures my attention with a simple silhouette. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona
#6 – When sunset clouds take on the shape of the land it’s time to pay attention. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona
#7 – Drama of the storm. Like a furled cloth flowing over the Kofa Mountains. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona
#8 – Socializing in the desert often includes neighbors of flight. Ghost Town Road Congress Arizona
#9 – Mountains make their own weather including matching patterns of clouds. Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona
#10 – There be dragons guarding the desert near the Kofa Mountains, Arizona.
#11 – A crown of morning light rises to the Castle like formation on the Kofa Mountains, Arizona.
Thank you, I REALLY appreciate your help making these decisions for the 2022 Geogypsy calendar, so please pick 5-6 of the above choices to get this started.
