This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by three readers including flowers, Grand Canyon, and pets.
Gypsy chose #3118, “for a full moon hike day and year.” I do love the full moon and don’t have a plan for September, yet. I did get to watch the full moon rise many times at Grand Canyon but not where this cloudy shot was taken from the Grand Lodge.
Diane and Nigel chose #1908. Some small, unidentified, pink flowers in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa.
Sherry chose #9350. Beavertail cactus buds and flower with spider taken in Congress, Arizona.
Most recent pets. It’s International Dog Day, don’t tell Sierra. During the summer of 1997 I began selling at a fleamarket in Carson, Washington. I also got involved with a man and figured I needed a dog, puppy Carson came into my life. He outlasted the man and traveled with me for 11 years. I didn’t figure on another pet after that. Yet when my best friend died of cancer, her cat owned me.
Thank you for playing along with Foto Friday Fun which allows me to share these photographs and memories. For more of the story just follow the links. Please join in next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment.
Do you have a favorite this week?
Thanks for the memories
Lots of cloudy days around these parts, like in GC photo, huh! but more sunny days ahead. We’ll take it all. I had forgotten about the smaller Beavertails, thank you. And always like seeing animals, pets. How about #3019 next time> this for a Florence/Coolidge trip, GO CASA GRANDE RUINS! and the Florence Ruins, I found out, known since 30s, mapped in 90s, is thought to be the former ruins’ suburbs, much yet to be uncovered. And Space X capsule returning, first time without reliance on Russian taxis. Autumn is coming:)
Yup, lots of clouds these days and me thinks you are getting more rain than I am on the other side of the mountains. I like Casa Grande but didn’t know about the Florence Ruins. Happy National Dog day Sandee. #3019 for next week.
Oh my isn’t Carson a handsome boy!! I’m missing the pretty cactus flowers here in the east, but am always surprised by how many blooming Yuccas there are here! 1441 for next week please
Carson was a handsome boy and would have loved to run zoomies with Tessa. I am also surprised that Yuccas grow so many places. #1441 for next week.
A quiet Friday fun day but great photos. I have no idea what that Drakensburg flower is you have me beat, but it is very pretty. For some unknown reason the first photo is not downloading but that could well be our rubbish WiFi. Love the photos of Carson and Sierra.
Have a good weekend and take care. Hugs, Diane
PS Think Nigel will be flying back and we drive over together.
PPS. Ooops 2608 for next week please.
Thanks. You two take care. Big hugs! #2608 for next week.
The first photo looks like a painting! Dream-like. Wondered for a minute why I didn’t leave a number last week and then remembered we went away without taking our computers (I probably only remember because I blogged about it.) Quickly, before I forget, let’s see what you’ve got next week for 9222 for the date I think it will be. Or close anyway. Thanks too for sharing the pet portraits (and memories).
Thanks. Grand Canyon is often dream-like. Traveling is way better than stopping by here. And I’m way behind on reading. #9222 for next week.
I didn’t know you had a dog!! Looks like a good pup though.
2206 for next week according to random dot org.
Not in a long time, Carson was a good boy. #2206 for next week.
I bet Carson was a wonderful loyal friend. I miss my Great Dane, Newt. She passed away a few years ago at age 8 as is common for XL dogs. Miss Sierra striking a pose on the bumper looking lovely as always. We’re missing my # from last Friday. Do I get two next time? Hahaha. Next week # 5247
Carson was a great companion, as is Sierra who I don’t have to walk. I didn’t get a comment or number from you last week. I will say, sometimes yours doesn’t come into my email for whatever reason. #5247 for next week, and you can have two numbers any time.
The first picture really does look like a painting and I love my beautiful cactus something I rarely if ever see traveling in the east. Still having to click the change option by my name and enter everything again in order to not get the error. I wonder if that’s why there were so few comments this week. I’ll try 8288 for next week.
I’m glad it worked this week. #8288 for next week.
Hi Gaelyn, my comments are not getting through to your blog. I am just trying to see if this one reaches you. Rita
Made it. Don’t know what’s wrong.
Hi again Gaelyn, Love the photo’s this week, especially the animal photo’s and of course you know I love all photo’s of the Canyon. I didn’t know you had a dog previously, but your cat is such a good companion and reminds you of your friend. Can I have no 9210 for next week please. Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks. After the dog died I didn’t plan on more pets, but… I’m happy to have Sierra in my life. #9210 for this week.
Looks like a few of us were busy last week, but I still look forward to your Friday post!
For next week I’d like 2525 the bus number in the movie Speed and now I have this ear worm ‘In the year 2525, if man s till alive…’
Over summer I expect people to be too busy to read blog posts. I’m constantly trying to catch up. #2525 for next week. And now I have the ear worm.
Just a quick pick #7925 for Friday.
Love the dog & Sierra on the bumper.
Thanks, I’ve been blessed with wonderful pets, including my master Sierra. #7925 for next week.
