Do you have a favorite this week?
Thanks for the memories
Oh wow Gaelyn, I love that my choice was a memory from your 2015 birthday. I love the sand toadstool and I always gaze at your aspens. Many trees in Champagne Valley are all golden now so I am carrying my Canon with me. I would like 4825 (a random number which popped into my head as I was typing. Have a great weekend. Jo
Thanks. Sometimes Foto Friday Fun has me celebrating for more than a month. 😉 Ah yes, as I wait for flowers to bloom you watch the leaves change. Enjoy Autumn. #4825 for next week.
#0614 _ Reminds me of the time flying back from the boat in Ft. Lauderdale, to Vegas our landing was delayed so the pilot circled around and flew the entire length of The Grand Canyon. I always get a window seat and luckily he flew with the view of the canyon from the right seat.
I had the same thing happen flying back from Hawaii when on another delayed landing the pilot tightly circled counter clockwise around Mt. St. Helens. I had done the same thing in my own plane a few times before, but to be able to see it without flying the plane and trying to stay out of restricted airspace but still see into the crater was a special treat, like the full length view of the canyon.
Sure is a different perspective to fly over these icons, and I too have seen them both that way.
Lots of familiar places that bring a smile to my soul. My favorite this week is the strikingly lush green Mt St Helens & the link with a picture of Spirit Lake. I remember even back East our skies grayed out and if I remember correctly even some ash fell. I often think about what it was like in the time of the active lava flows in Southern Utah/Northern Arizona. Next week #8174; the birth DAYS of my siblings
Thanks. That ash went around the world at least once. When I study geology I always try to imagine the landscape in the past. #8174 for next week.
Hi Gaelyn, love that view of the Grand Canyon and Colorado River, also the Autumn leaves at the Kaibab National Forest. My favourite is that enormous stone toadstool in northern Arizona. No 9922 for next week please. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
Thanks. So much great stuff to see in the American SW. #9922 for next week.
Your Grand Canyon photos are always spectacular!
Happy Easter!
Today is Jackie Robinson Day all players are wearing #42 in his honor.
Thanks. #42 for next week, the answer to everything. And don’t forget your towel.
Thank you D. Adams & Ford Frick.
I loved the lush Mt St Helens also. And panoramas, False Bay! Anytime seeing Autumn. Off the top, #2020 please next week:)
Thanks. Panos are fun, and so is Autumn. #2020 for next week.
Great photos all, my favorite is the last one with the big fluffy clouds, blue sky, and the hill sloping down from right to left.
Next week is 3190
Thanks. I miss that piece of desert already. #3190 for next week.
Always love seeing the canyon, but today the green at Mt St Helens really grabbed me!! I’m ready from some green these days.
2557 for next week please.
After being in the desert so long, I too long for green. Enjoy the journey. #2557 for this week.
Sorry we have had a very busy weekend working in the garden while the sun was shining and the computer has hardly been switched on. Love the canyon shots, but our favourite is our photo of you next to the stone Toadstool. What did you have in your hair? 1504 for nest week please. Hope you had a good Easter. Hugs as ever from us both Diane and Nigel.
No need to apologize, I totally get being busy and behind reading. Garden sounds like more fun anyway. I was wearing a bandana on my head. #1504 for this week.
I think the Mt St Helen’s picture, you with the toadstool and the beautiful Sonoran Desert pictures are my favorites this week. Such a beautiful view you had. I’ll try #4245 this week for the for the word HAIL which we had here in Virginia today April 18 – unbelievable!
Thanks. Holy Shit, you had hail. I had 96°. #4245 for this week.
