This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 10 readers including the Colorado River Grand Canyon, wildlife large and small, and little ole me.
Rita chose #899. The last morning along the Colorado River after five days of rafting. Woke up on the beach at Diamond Creek.
Cathy chose #0440. A rather misty morning watching the hot air balloon at Pilanesberg Game Reserve, South Africa.

Jeff chose #1225. Another look down, about 3000 feet down, at rafts on the Colorado River from Toroweap, Grand Canyon National Park.
Sallie and Bill chose #1222, “my oldest granddaughter’s birthday” now a mother of four. A happy birthday view with a lone Mule Deer too, from my RV window living on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park.
Jodee and Bill chose #9913. This baby Water Monitor was about 8” long, seen in Pilanesberg Game Reserve, South Africa.
Sherry chose #21. Me at seven months old with my brother at seven years old taken October 1954.

I love that the Colorado River came up in my choice. And I love you and your brother in the 1954 photo. My number for next week is 8090. Happy Christmas, dear Gaelyn. Jo
Thanks. A fun selection this week for sure. #8090 for next week.
Merry Christmas my friend!
I like ALL the photos this week including that cool Journey photo link! Merry Christmas! Next week #8888
Thanks. Please spread the word about the Journey. #8888 for next week. Merry Christmas!
All great pictures, but the one I like most is of the mule deer. #4011 for next week, please. Merry Christmas
Thanks. Wildlife out the window is special. #4011 for next week. Merry Christmas!
What a pretty Water Monitor! How big do they get? I’ve seen so few lizards in our desert, not like it used to be 🙁 Your pics of Vermillion Cliffs always have me thinking of changing our plans for the next year to include that area!!
Happiest of Holidays Gaelyn!
1149 for next week please.
Adult Water Monitors can exceed three feet and get more colorful. I don’t see many lizards in this AZ desert either and think that’s a bad sign. #1149 for next week. Merry Christmas!
Mm, I love that serene Christmas Eve dinner…and having just been Borrego Springs, it reminded me it is the largest round-about I’ve seen! Merry Christmas y’all. And thank you gg for enticing journeys! #2009 please for a joyful Christmas tree hunt up Williams.
Thanks. That lovely market also supplied a delicious 1/2 organic duck fricasseed for the next night. Cute place huh? #2009 for next week. Merry Christmas!
I’ve had tamales from the market, as well. A nice and traditional Christmas treat.
Merry Christmas, Gaelyn!
For next week I wish you and your readers a Most Wonderful 2022.
Wish I had some of those tamales right now, but I’m in the wrong desert. Oh well, ham tomorrow will do. #2022 for next week. Merry Christmas!
The cliffs always get my attention. That looks like a great dinner! I made meatloaf yesterday, so we have leftovers today!
Yes, you like rocks and so do I. Merry Christmas!
Great photos, all of them, That early morning shot looking up the canyon is one I found rather striking.
Random dot org says 4261.
Merry Christmas!!
Thanks. #4261 for next week.
I like a yard with wildlife…one of the joys of RV travel! So I Loved “our” deer. And the canyon shots…and your Christmas dinner. Wishing you another good one tomorrow. ….May I have 1122 next week for the New Year?
Thanks. Window wildlife is great. Now if only the birds would hold still a little longer. #1122 for next week.
We will certainly never forget our trip to visit you and the Vermillion cliffs are part of great memories. The picture of you and your brother though has to be a favourite.
Feeling decidedly full today, we eat to much yesterday with both a goose and a ham and everything to go with it, but it was good that we had friends to join us despite COVID.
2612 for next week please. Wishing you all the very best for 2022 and hope everything goes as planned for you.
Hugs Diane and Nigel.
I am so glad we got to meet and tour the Grand Canyon area. If only if could happen again in RSA. I too ate too much last night, nature of the beast, and had help as well. The best part. #2612 for next week.
It always amazes me how people look the same as little babies as they do as adults. I can see your soul right there in the photo of you at 7 months. So how about 1946, when I was about 7 months old.
I don’t always see the similarities but there’s usually at least some feature that just grows. Yet the soul can appear the same. #1946 for this week.
Well I know what happened and why I’m SO late. I read the post on my phone but wanted to see the pictures on my laptop and the holiday got in the way. I do love all Toroweap pictures. I really must go there. Also am interested in the book on your lovely table. Did you enjoy it?
Thanks for going back to the old post. Holidays are more important anyway. The book was the strangest format and an unusual mystery. Just OK, a short read.
