This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by six readers including lots of blue, and little orange rock too.
Diane and Nigel chose #1806. A Cape Royal view they saw when visiting the North Rim Grand Canyon but not with the low clouds. I loved to see during monsoon season.
Alan and random dot org chose #5868, one of a five shot panorama. The Salton Sea is an unusual place, though great for birding and sunsets.
Cathy chose #0617. Full moon the night of a lunar eclipse seen from Yarnell, Arizona on April 15th, 2014.
Jeff chose #420, from my last week’s joke about 420. But driving through the tiny tunnels at Zion National Park is not the time for that. This shot from 9-21-08, when I had to pay extra to get through.
Rita chose #1133. Sorry, not a shot from Grand Canyon. Instead the view south of the San Francisco Peaks on the State Route 89 drive from Grand Canyon to Flagstaff.
Jo chose #2606. The Coyote and Santa Rose Mountains were my New Year’s day view while camping at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in Caifornia in 2015.
My choice from the archives, 11-1-14, while visiting Bandon, Oregon with Berta, a place she once lived, we were gifted with a rainbow at Facerock Beach.
Thank you for playing along with Foto Friday Fun which allows me to share these photographs and memories. For more of the story just follow the links. Please join in next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment.
Do you have a favorite this week?
Apologize if I missed anybody but I am having difficulty getting online, as usual.
Two favorites this week Cape Royal and Facerock Beach. #361 for next week please.
I can’t pick one favorite this week. I like them all ! My full moon shot is fitting. The Strawberry Supermoon was gorgeous last night rising but cloud cover took over. As always, thanks for sharing. Next week #0482
Thanks. I too saw the moon only briefly last night. #0482 for next week.
Thanks for stopping by and joining in. #361 for next week.
Hi Gaelyn, that was uncanny: not one South African shot. But many beautiful images anyway. I loved the rainbow shot over Facerock Beach, Thanks for sharing. My choice for next week is 1500 (the time I attend a Zoom meeting today) Have a great week. Jo
Considering how many photos from SA it was surprising. Thanks for continuing to play along. #1500 for next week.
We had decided that Cape Royal was our favourite this week until we saw the rainbow then they became equal first. Having said that the moon is a close second, but as always never a shot that is not worthy of being a favourite. As Jo says it is not often there is not a shot of South Africa.
2506 for next week please. Hope all is well over there, plans and dreams still working over time. Hugs from us both, Diane and Nigel.
Thanks for your continued support and comments. Considering how many photos of SA I too was surprised not to have it represented this week. Yes still thinking and planning. #2506 for next week.
I am looking forward to your next adventures! #1425
Thanks, guess I am too once I decide what that will look like. #1425 for next week.
Hi Gaelyn, That Luna Eclipse from Yarnell looks great, I have never managed to catch one even though it’s been advertised. Over the years we have seen lots of your photo’s but it seems that not many have been repeated so you must have hundreds. Do you have a total Gaelyn? Just wondered !! Would like No 1099 for next week please.
Thanks. That moon shot sure beats what I tried for this week. No grand total of photos taken but surely in the 100s of 1000s and I try not to share them more than once. #1099 for next week.
My favorites are the tiny tunnel at Bryce. Your colors are fantastic. And I also like the final picture with the rainbow. I’ll try #9820 for next week.
Thanks. It really is a tiny tunnel, the second one is longer. #9820 for next week.
Perfectly timed full moon photo! I enjoyed this month’s full moon out in nature. It’s nice to be out experiencing the beauty that you capture so well in your photographs. Have fun with your programs this week! Number 328 for next week please.
Thanks. This moon shot turned out better than this week’s cloudy full moon view. Glad you were out enjoying. #328 for next week.
Number 718 for next week please
Thanks for joining in Alan. #718 for you next week.
I love them all, especially the first photo, and then the Salton Sea sunsets. Keep on geotrucking!! Number for next time is 3735 from random dot org.
Thanks. If I don’t get the camper fixed I won’t be doing much geotrucking for a while. #3735 for this week.
From the Monsoon Clouds in the Grand Canyon to the beach at Face Rock — what a beautiful country this is..
I loved every picture from every place! If I can come back again, I will take 148. Who knows why?
We really do live in a diverse and beautiful country, as you know having seen so much of it. #148 for this week.
I think all the RV traffic has to pay for a tunnel escort at Zion. We had to, but were not allowed to slow down to look thru the ‘windows’.
It’s been an extremely dry wet season here. For next week I’d like 4152, the number of wildfires CalFire mentioned in their briefing thus far this year. Yes that’s a big number and nearly 1000 more than last year at this time. What’s left to burn?
Yes RVs pay extra to go through Zion’s tunnels, I was measured as one inch too wide and had to pay many years ago. Park is currently closed due to massive flooding. My tunnel window shots were taken during winter with no traffic at all, also many years ago.
Fire situation this year is extremely scary. Not sure what’s left to burn. Be safe.
#4152 for this week.
