Not sure I’ve posted Foto Friday Fun on Christmas before, but what difference as the post was done and scheduled yesterday, and you can read it tomorrow. Or any time if you choose. So this week a different twist. I have collected images and quotes over 50 years, sadly I can’t usually give credit. But, in the spirit of the season hope to be forgiven by all who I have stolen from. Is there a theme? I guess so. On Caturday, the day after Christmas celebrations, let’s carry a message of love into the next year and beyond. Oh yea, and this week’s Foto Friday Fun also includes images from 10 readers with a lot of panoramas, water features, and Pueblo ruins.
Rita chose #8987. None of those are my RV but I’m camped there. This is what January in Quartzsite, Arizona usually looks like, packed with RVs. I’m there for a gathering of friends. Though the sunsets are still fine as you saw in my last post.
Lisa chose #755, one of three in a panorama. Lone Rock Beach is a decent place to camp along the shores of Lake Powell and not far from Page Arizona.
Sherry chose #5972. She gets to experience a similar scene in Florida but this is the Indian Ocean from Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa during my February 2014 visit.
Sue chose #2014. Here we see some digging in the dirt, which Sue will identify with from a professional standpoint, at Elden Pueblo in Flagstaff, Arizona. Archeologists where actively excavating and stabilizing this native site.
Yogi and random dot org chose #6459. When traveling in South Africa I saw several different kinds of Protea, a flowering bush. This black-bearded Protea would open to a hand-sized flower.
Diane and Nigel chose #1812, one of three in a panorama. A view they might remember from visiting Grand Canyon complete with a curve of the Colorado River as seen from the North Rim’s Walhalla Overlook.
Susie chose #1219, a panorama from 2009. That’s my shadow on Navajo Bridge where it crosses the Colorado River in Marble Canyon, Arizona. Looks like a slide into the river to me.
Cathy chose #3274. A small palm tree as I approached a grove on the Palm Canyon trail in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California in January 2015.
Jeff chose #443, “the cost of replacing the Jeep’s fuel pump.” I feel your pain. At least your jeep isn’t as old as these ruins at the Walhalla Glades on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park. (Sorry, that was a stretch.)
Jodee and Bill chose #7047, another panorama. One of my favorite sunset locations on the North Rim Grand Canyon National Park.
My choice from the current Kofa camp, more on that soon.
Thank you for playing along with Foto Friday Fun which allows me to share these photographs and memories. For more of the story just follow the links. Please join in next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment.

Thanks. Hope you day is gay and bright. #3022 for next week.
Lovely Christmas morning reading for me along with some laughs. Merry Christmas to you! Fresh start next Friday for a New Year with #5817
Thanks. I think we are all ready to see the end of this year. #5817 for the next one.
Love this fun post and we had a few laughs along the way. We will never tire of seeing pictures of the canyon, they are always so different depending on the time of the day and the weather. If you took a photo of the identical place every day for a year at different times ti would be interesting to see just how much they would differ.
We had a very quiet day and a 4 course meal that lasted all afternoon with a nap in the middle. We are not allowed out and we have curfew from 20h00 till 06h00 anyway. This will stay the same until at least 20 January then we will see what other rules come into force or what may get lifted. It will be interesting to see how many people get fined at New Year with the curfew and fines are heavy!!
Take care and stay safe. Let us hope that 2021 will bring an end to COVID and we can return to some sort of normality what ever that may be. 2512 for next week please. Diane and Nigel
Thanks. I have so many photos of the canyon taken from the same places and they all look different. Your meal sounds good, especially with a nap included. Bummer still on lockdown. We all have hope for 2021. #2512 for next week.
Love all the funnies, especially the little bear and the tree lights 🙂 How I’d love to be watching the sun set on the rim these days!!
A very Merry Christmas!!
1207 for next week please.
I’ll take sunset color decorations any day. #1207 for this week.
Great cartoons! Thanks for the humor. I can really use it on my first Christmas ever in my life spent totally alone. Thanks covid. Thanks multiple myeloma. But I love my ocean shot. I love oceans everywhere but their salt sure is hard on my RV. Also love those colors in the Grand Canyon so beautiful. I’ll try 5376 for next week.
Good thing my RV isn’t by the ocean or it would be in worse shape. #5376 for next week.
Great photos as you have come to spoil us. I love the archeological digs. I love shadow bridge shot as well.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas (there’s 12 days, in just doesn’t to a stop on the 25th.)
Random dot org gave me 7975 for next week.
Thanks. I’d like to join an archeological dig in some exotic place, like anywhere. #7976 for next week.
The cartoons certainly add some Christmas Cheer to the blog, fun. You probably heard the 1st grove on the Palm Canyon Trail burned and the trail closed to allow for recovery. The grove did recover and the trail reopened for day-use only as all of Anza Borrego remains under the SoCal lockdown. For next week I’d like 1228 the date the SoCal lockdown is scheduled to be lifted. Anza Borrego will again welcome overnight visitors!
Thanks. I’ve actually seen photos of the recovered grove and was surprised by the lovely growth. Friends are camphosting there. They will be happy to open again. #1228 for next week.
I don’t comment often G., but I read all your posts. You are such an inspiration! You made my day with beauty and humor. I have a blog now and hope you will make a visit to WeeLadyAdventures.com and make some comments, you have so much wisdom!
Thanks for a merry Christmas, and hope your new year is happy and bright!
