This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 11 readers including rock, critters, and my first car.
Pat chose #1008, “since I’ll be arriving in the US on the 10th of August.” She’ll be looking at a different shoreline from this scene at Storms River Mouth Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa. Her choice is one of four in a panorama from 3-3-13.
Jeff chose #331, “the last day of my current contract – I’ve chosen to not renew!” One of six in a panorama taken from Marble View, one of my favorite remote locations on the Kaibab National Forest, Arizona.
Jennifer chose #113, a rather splintered stump along the Quartz Creek trail during the summer of 1992 in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Washington.
Jo chose #1945, “the time I typed this out.” Saw this arch the time I hiked the Echo Ravine trail in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, South Africa.
Diane and Nigel chose #3105. Sunrise seen while camping at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.
Gilda chose lucky #13. As luck would have it, this is my first car in 1970, a 1964 Rambler Ambassador convertible.
Yogi chose #8965. Hyenas seeking shade on a hot March day in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in South Africa.
Jim and Diana chose #630, “the time of the morning that the army post adjacent to our campground plays revelry.” I’d rather wake up to a plan for a hike to the Toadstools in Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. I believe they’ve hiked this.
Jodee and Bill chose #321. This shot inside Fort Misery at Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona reminds me of some of the photos Jodee has taken in the many historical sites visited. I think it’s a bread cupboard.
Sherry chose #2319. Looking similar to birds she’s seen in Florida, this Grey Heron was seen in Camdeboo National Park, South Africa.
Rita chose #5937. One of four in a panorama of sunset complete with crepuscular rays seen while birding at the Salton Sea State Recreation Area in California.
My choice from last week when I caught some sunshine on the hoodoos below Sunset Point at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
Thank you for playing along with Foto Friday Fun which allows me to share these photographs and memories. Please join in next week by leaving a number between 1 and 9999 in your comment below.
Do you have a favorite this week?
Lucky 13 indeed, such a cool car😄 All very interesting photos. The hoodoos at Bryce Canyon are impressive. For next week can I have 25, my daughter’s age.
Thanks. I loved that convertible. #25 for next week.
Thanks for ‘my rocks’. I could handle those. Also love the bread cupboard. I have a smaller one here that my stepfather made. Next week put me down for 1977, the year I moved to what was then Yugoslavia.
How cool to have furniture made by your stepfather. #1977 for next week.
Beautiful panoramas! Love the photos and stories as always.
Thank you. I’ve always liked panoramas. Even when they were prints taped together.
Third try at commenting…… We do love sunrises but not often we ever get to see them!! Love the sunsets as well and of course your first car. Our favourite though is the same as you, love the sunlight on the hoodoos. 706 for next week please, Have a great weekend, Diane and Nigel
I rarely see sunrises but once in a while… #706 for next week.
Love that Rambler! AMC made some pretty cool cars. Put us down for 1975 for next week, the year of my friend’s dad’s AMC Pacer. Felt like we were in a fishbowl in it, but it handled like a sports car.
The Pacer really was like a fishbowl. I loved the electric convertible on the Ambassador. #1975 for next week.
Awesome photos all!! I love the Bryce Canyon shot. How many photos do you have in your archives? I have about 74,000 and strange thing is I remember taking almost every single one. I have about 10,000 not tagged out and I am slowly working through them.
Random dot org says my number next week is 2695,
Have a great week.
Thanks. I’m not sure of total pics in the archives but I’d guess 100s of 1000s. I am six months behind labeling them. #2695 for next week.
I took the trail up to the toadstools a few years ago. I’d love to see your photos of them.
I’ll share my favorite toadstools shot next week.
Hello Gaelyn, I loved your first car. We also had a Rambler as our first car in our marriage. I also loved the Echo caves image. Grant and I spent many, many happy times camping at Glen Reenen. Please give me the number 1506, the rate of the dollar against ZA Rand! Have a great weekend, Jo
I loved my Rambler. Could stop at a robot and put the top down with the push of a button. Golden Gate was a wonderful place to camp and hike. Not to far from your old house. Wow, that’s some rate of exchange. Wish I could take advantage of it. #1506 for next week.
Hi Gaelyn, Nice variety of photo’s here .Love the bread cupboard, much more attractive than the now bread bins. My favourite this week is Sunset Point at Bryce Grand Canyon National Park and No 1027 for next week please. Enjoy your weekend
Thanks Rita. My bread stays in the fridge. I have no room for a bread box. #1027 for next week.
Is it possible to take a bad picture at Bryce? Beautiful…. For next week I’d like 1999 the year BLM started charging $6/3 to camp at Fossil Falls
Might be difficult but I’m learning to zoom in instead of trying to take in the entire amphitheater. #1999 for this week.
I love the hoodoos! #204
No two alike. #204 for this week.
