This week’s Foto Friday Fun features images chosen by 13 readers including spring and fall at Grand Canyon, flowers, and an extremely dilapidated outhouse.
TreDeuce chose #1666. Next to monsoon, fall is my favorite season on the North Kaibab when the aspen turn gold.
Rita chose #5398. I’m not much for actually going into salt water but love to watch, listen, and feel the power of ocean waves. This is the Indian Ocean in Scottburgh, South Africa.
Melissa chose #9197. More fall aspen but this time with a Grand Canyon view taken from the Ken Partrick trail on the North Rim.
Gilda chose #2304. Gazing out at the Outenqua Mountains from Wild Spirit Backpackers Lodge in Nature’s Valley, South Africa.
Diane and Nigel chose #1904. Welcome to Tuweep, or Toroweap, an extremely remote community.
George chose #1985. Wotons Throne can be seen from Cape Royal overlook at the end of the scenic drive on the North Rim Grand Canyon.
Jo chose #3004. A sunset view over the badlands from Fonts Point in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California.
Jim and Diana chose #6880. Spring blooms on a Joshua Tree in the park with the same name.
Jeff chose #2004. Sunset over the Vallecito Mountains in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California. A park he knows quite well.
Jodee and Bill chose #9311. More spring blooms, this time in Congress, Arizona.
Jennifer chose #0420, one of ten in a panorama. This sunset at the beach in Bandon, Oregon.
Sallie and Bill chose #526. Might not want to use this old outhouse found on the North Rim Grand Canyon near the old lookout tower.
Yogi chose #8762. Fall colors and the canyon again from a different section of the Ken Patrick trail on the North Rim.
My choice is watching the 5th-wheel being hauled away from Yarnell on its way to Kanab, Utah.

Do you have a favorite this week?
Many great photos in this collection, my favourite is Wottons Throne, George’s choice. I hope the move is going smoothly. For next week can I choose 1709 (my daughter’s birthday?
Thank you. #1709 for next week.
Our favourite this week is Wottons Throne, fabulous photo. No I agree that outhouse looks a bit past it 😊. Not a photo here that we do not like and the prickly pear blossom stirs memories of eating the pears in Southern Africa, Hope all goes well for the move and starting your new job. Happy weekend, Diane and Nigel. 2604 for next week please.
The Grand Canyon in the fall is my favorite picture and place. Good luck on your move! 7004 for me next week please.
Those golden aspen are hard to beat. Thanks, I’m almost there. #7004 for next week.
I too loved eating the cactus fruit in SA, and here as well though ours aren’t as large a fruit. #2604 for next week.
Ergh, I shudder at that outhouse! My favourite is the sea at Scottburgh, Durban on the Indian Ocean has had terrible floods this week and pronounced a disaster area.. I also love the sunset in my choice. My number for next week is 4375. (part of my mobile phone number which you may still have on your phone?) Have a great week. Jo
I’ve heard about the terrible flooding. #4375 for next week.
Thanks for all the photo fun Next week let try 0918.
Thanks for playing along. #0918 for next week.
I have two favorites this week. 1985 of the Grand Canyon and the photo of the cactus starting to bloom. The Grand Canyon was my husband’s favorite place to see. I loved Spring in Texas when the cactus start blooming all their wonderful colors. Your weekly photo fun is one of the things I always look forward to even though I don’t comment very often. Hope you and Sierra are happy and well.
Thanks Susan. It’s a fun meme for me to dig into my photo archives. We are good and almost to Bryce.
Loved seeing your 5th wheel on its way. So glad you didn’t sell it. My favorites this week are Anza-Borrego and Woton’s Throne. But LOL at the outhouse. I’d like 1847 for next time.
Me too, but there’s more to that story. #1847 for next week.
More great photos! The outhouse is so sad!
#1904
Thanks, I thought it had worn itself out very well. #1904 for next week.
The sunset from Font’s Point will always be special. Wotons Throne is also another captivating picture in a slew of great photos. But the ‘Greater Tuweep Metropolitan Area’ made laugh, and I had to look it up. Population 1 volunteer ranger!, You have a ranger friend with a great sense of humor.
For next week I’d like 588, the cost (in pesos) to renew my Mexican FMM in Tijuana this morning.
I knew you’d like that Font’s Point shot. Tuweep usually has one real Ranger and a volunteer. Populated spot. #588 for next week.
Well I am an ocean lover so i love both of those! 8*)
May I have 1928 next week, please? Missing my Mum today and that is the year she was born. Lets see how cool or funny her photo is! Thank you!! <3 <3 <3 8*)
OK, we’ll see what #1928 brings up for Mom next week. Take care.
For some reason I love especially the view of the Canyon with the aspens. It just seems very nostalgic to me, even though I have never been there in the Fall. Woton’s Throne always makes a great photograph.
Next week, let me see, 5846 comes to me!!
Good luck on starting your new job.
Thanks. It’s not easy to find a view of the canyon with Aspens too because they don’t frequently grow on the edge of the rim. #5846 for this week.
Hi Gaelyn, My favourite this week is your 5th wheel being hauled away from Yarnell…….I am getting excited for you Good luck. No 2119 for next week. Thanks, enjoy your weekend.
It was good to see the 5th-wheel roll but there is more to that story coming. #2119 for next week.
Some stunning pictures included here as always, but for once I can’t say that “ours” is one of the most beautiful views ))…but it would have made us laugh had we stumbled on it as it I’m sure did you …and that’s definitely a memory worth preserving. 926 next time?
Actually that outhouse has outstanding views. #926 for this week.
Few blooms are more beautiful than those found in the desert. Love the pic of Wotons Throne – so majestic!
#357 for next week please.
Desert blooms do seem like an extra special gift. #357 for this week.
