Friday marks fall, the Autumn equinox, in North America, October 15th ends my summer season at Grand Canyon, and I’m working on the 2018 photo calendar. This is the second round of images to choose from. Look for the first round here. I plan to put out one more set of choices before final selection.
#14 Water drops on ocotillo Organ Pipe Cactus NM AZ
Two years ago a printer in Kanab printed six calendars with my photos for Christmas gifts. The recipients seemed to like it.
#15 Moon thru arch Ajo Mt Dr Organ Pipe Cactus NM AZ
Last year I got cheap and printed six calendars on my antique HP printer and that was a nightmare I won’t do again.

Many of you voiced an interest in purchasing a calendar with my photos.
#17 sunset High Sierras Alabama Hills BLM Lone Pine CA
#18 Mobius Arch Alabama Hills BLM Lone Pine CA
So I’d like your help deciding which photos, what size calendar (8.5×11 or 5.5×8.5), and how much you’re willing to pay. Also suggestions are much appreciated.
#19 Orion Sierras Alabama Hills BLM Lone Pine CA
Over the last 12 months while choosing photos for blog posts, processing, and labeling I’ve picked many of my favorites and put them in the 2018 photo calendar file. Should I just pick photos taken in the last 12 months? Do you have or remember any particular favorites over the last nine years of my blogging or Facebook posts?
#20 sunset Wotans Throne from Wedding site North Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
In the next week or so I’ll be sharing a few of my favorites and asking for you to weigh in. Please choose up to eight of your favorites from this second round by leaving their numbers in a comment below. First round selections are still open.

I’m looking for quality printing at a reasonable price. If any of you have used online printing companies feel free to make a suggestion. It’s difficult to know the quality of prints without paying to print and I’m looking for a bulk print price. Maybe 50 to 100 copies depending on how many I think I can sell. (Feel free to help me out here by sharing this post.)
#22 Mt Hayden canyon from Pt Imperial North Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
So how many do you want to pre-order with no money down? I’ll start a list and let you know when the calendar is available for shipping. You might want to think Christmas presents.
#23 inner canyon Walhalla overlook North Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
Of course I know you can pick up free calendars from various businesses you frequent, or not. But if you’d like to look at some of my best (so far) for the next year and help support a starving Park Ranger/photographer/traveler I would much appreciate it.
#24 last light from Cape Royal North Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
Thank you for your input and being faithful readers. To see the previous choices see the first post.
#25 morning light Angels Window NR GRCA NP AZ
The moon through the arch is my favourite here but all the others are superb impossible to choose. Take care Diane
Thanks. It’s not easy for me to decide either.
My favorites are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18.
Really, any of these would be fine. They’re all nice.
Lord Gaelyn these are all fantastic! I think it would be easier to pick from the last year but you are the artist.
I would purchase a calendar, I like the larger size calendars. I think that size shows the photos better. All your photos are so great, why not show them off?
Doris
Thank you Doris. I’ve put you on the list.
I printed calendars for Christmas gifts last year and people seemed to like them, although a few never quite grabbed the concept that they were my photos. They kept saying, who is the photographer and I would say
Me, and then a week later the same question.
I printed mine through flickr. Not that cheap, but they did a good job.
Think I’m going to use Shutterfly.
#15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 25! Maybe you could just do a Grand Canyon calendar and get the gift shop to purchase it from you. You have so many amazing photos from there.
13, 15, & 17
Thanks Kat.
