#1 Sunset RR tracks Kirkland AZ
It’s almost October, the end of my summer season, and I’m working on the 2018 photo calendar.
#2 Sunset from Palm Canyon Rd KOFA NWR AZ
Two years ago a printer in Kanab printed six calendars with my photos for Christmas gifts.
#3 Crested Organ Pipe Cactus Ajo Mt Dr Organ Pipe Cactus NM AZ
Last year I got cheap and printed six calendars on my antique HP printer and that was a nightmare I won’t do again.
#4 Sunset clouds Fossil Falls Little Lake CA
Many of you voiced an interest in purchasing a calendar with my photos.

So I’d like your help deciding which photos, what size calendar (8.5×11 or 5.5×8.5), and how much you’re willing to pay. Also suggestions are much appreciated.
#6 Moon rise Alabama Hills Lone Pine CA
Over the last 12 months while choosing photos from blog posts and labeling I’ve picked many of my favorites and put them in the 2018 photo calendar file. Should I just pick photos taken in the last 12 months? Do you have or remember any particular favorites over the last nine years of my blogging?
#7 Last light Amargosa Range Badwater Basin DEVA NP CA
In the next week or so I’ll be sharing a few of my favorites and asking for you to weigh in. Please choose up to eight of your favorites from this round by leaving their numbers in a comment below.
#8 first light Wotans Throne Cape Royal North Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
#9 trees rock Colorado R Moran Pt South Rim Grand Canyon NP AZ
I’m looking for quality printing at a reasonable price. If any of you have used online printing companies feel free to make a suggestion. It’s difficult to know the quality of prints without paying to print and I’m looking for a bulk printing price. Maybe 50 to 100 copies depending on how many I think I can sell.

So how many do you want to pre-order with no money down or obligation? I’ll start a list and let you know when the calendar is available for shipping. You might want to think Christmas presents.

Of course I know you can pick up free calendars from various businesses you frequent, or not. But if you’d like to look at some of my best (so far) for the next year and help support a starving Park Ranger/photographer/traveler I would much appreciate it.

Thank you for your input and being faithful readers.
Beautiful, Gaelyn!
Thanks George.
Hi Gaelyn –
I have used Shutterfly for years. The paper is a heavy stock and you have a number of options on
borders, calendar date inserts, etc. They do have some package deals. I preorder 25 and those I do not use, can be forwarded to the next year’s order.
Before you order a bulk amount I would suggest ordering just one. Also it looks like some of your pictures could you lightening. 🙂
Good luck with it.
Nancy
Good luck.
Thanks. I did print a book from Shutterfly and liked it. Will check them out. Good idea to print one first which I did with the Kanab printer. I too was thinking some shots might be too dark. I really appreciate your professional input.
Please add my name to the “Yes, please” list.
Virtual hugs,
Judie Ashford
Thank you Judie. I’ll let you know when ordering begins.
Pictures of the Eastern Sierra or your special photos of the Grand Canyon are always welcome in a calendar.
Yes I, too, would be interested in one as a unique Christmas Gift.
Thanks for the input. I’ll put you on the list.
I second a vote for Shutterfly. I have been using them for years and they produce a quality product.
Your pics would be stunning via Shutterfly.
Thanks Susan. I will give them a try.
i’d be interested.
Thanks. I’ve put you on the list Sallie.
I want one. All of these photos are beautiful.
Thanks Karen. You’re on the list.
How can you pick photos from a great collection like that though I do particularly love the first one. I agree though a couple of them would be better a bit lighter. Keep well Diane
Thanks Diane. I am going to lighten some and have one calendar printed before offering for sale.
My favorites are 1, 6, 10, and 11
I hope you can offer a smaller calendar too. My place is small and so is my refrigerator (where I hang my calendar). Unfortunately, the big calendars don’t fit.
I will look into a smaller size calendar as I too don’t have much space. Thanks for the feedback.
These are all so beautiful, it’s hard to pick so I won’t. Whatever you choose is great with me. But it might make it easier if you’d pick one from the month it is going to appear on. Sort of answering what did it look like where you were in January for the January picture. Just my 2 cents. Put me on the list.
Thanks for the feedback Sherry. In some cases there is a pic from a specific month.
Hi G,
Here are my top picks and I can’t seem to keep it to just 8. So here they are:
Numbers:
1
3
10
13
14

17
18
20
21
25
29

36
That’s my best shot so far.
The 8 1/2 x 11 size is our choice.
We need an idea of cost before we commit to how many.
One for sure and maybe as many as 5. This sounds like a great Christmas gift to us.
Can hardly wait to hear the final picks.
Now you know why it was so hard for me to choose. Thanks for the input. I have ordered one to see how the photos print. Should be much better than last year on my old HP. Not sure of price but trying not to exceed $20. Should know in about a week or two. Thank you.
1,2,4,7
Thanks for the input Kat. The calendar’s are in a second printing.
