Merry Christmas!
This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 8 images chosen by readers from my photo files including my modeling debut for Victoria’s Secret.
Mary Lou chose #1218. A panoramic view of Cottonwood Canyon and Creek in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah, taken 10-27-11.
Shane chose #7080. This water trough sits below the Barker Dam in Joshua Tree National Park, California. The Barker Dam hike provided cultural and natural histories on a clear crisp March day this year.
Karen chose #1952, “which is the year I was born.” So I cheated a little and instead of photo number she gets this 1952 Chevrolet seen at the Yarnell Car Show in Arizona 4-19-15.
Diane chose #9009. I hope where she’s traveling is more interesting than this shot of salt pans near Upington South Africa taken 3-22-14.
Sherry chose #1219. OK I won’t quit my day job to become a model, but couldn’t resist showing off this thrift store deal on a Victoria’s Secret coverup. My dear friend Berta took this shot in our hotel room in Laughlin, Nevada back in February 2012 right before we headed to the hot tub. We don’t go there to gamble.
Jerry chose #4440, an absolutely breathtaking light show with music I enjoyed during a delicious Greek dinner on the deck at the Boardwalk/mall in Port Elizabeth South Africa on 2-26-13.
Jodee chose #1976, a peak at the Virgin River from Zion Canyon River Walk. This was taken early June 2014 when visiting blogger friend Bibi and I took a quick trip to Zion National Park, Utah.
Yogi let random dot org choose #2294, a gorgeous and memorable sunset as Joan and I drove out of Camdeboo National Park South Africa 2-14-13.
My choice this week is about people. My photos are usually about places I visit, the “things” I see. But Christmas is about people, you people (even if I don’t know who all you readers are), family and friends is what makes the holidays. Thank you all for being part of my life. Sorry if I forgot anybody.
Please join in for next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment below. Thanks for playing along with Foto Friday Fun.
Do you have a favorite this week?
Merry Christmas!
Love your collage, what a great idea! Thanks for including us. Love my picture of you in that slinking VS wrap. Hot tub sounds fabulous. You always have such wonderful pictures of Grand Staircase – Escalante. We have not been there but it is for sure now on my ‘please please can we get out west’ list. Beautiful picture of the Virgin River. Zion is one of my favorites. They just won’t let me stay there long enough. Happiest of Holidays to you Gaelyn. I am thrilled for you and Bill to have found each other.
Thanks Sherry. A hot tub would feel Really good right Now with the camper surrounded by almost 3 feet of snow. You’ll make it back west eventually. Would love to share the Staircase with you. Had a great Christmas with Bill’s family and lots of kids.
It’s a toss up between the light show and your Victoria’s Secret photo 😉
Hope you are enjoying your time with Bill and his family. Merry Christmas!
A great Christmas with Bill’s family.

Thank you Teri. I enjoyed an interesting large family Christmas. Have you down for #2016.
Great shots as usual. I’m intrigued by the shot with the water trough.
Okay, so you have titillated us with your Victoria’s Secret shot. Now you have to show us what the coverup was covering up!! Blogger law, look it up.
I hope that you had a great Christmas and a chance to warm up.
Thanks Yogi. It is an unusually shaped water trough below a concrete dam, that had very little water in it when I was there.
I can’t find Blogger law. Send link.
Had a wonderful, and cold, Christmas.
Belated Merry Christmas dear Gaelyn. The photo collage is a lovely idea…. We do get to caring about each other here in blogland and you chose a great way to say so. Loved all the photos. We were camping on the Mohave one spring and got rained out, so we headed to Laughlin, where we scored a room as big as a house for less than we’d paid for a campsite the day before we got to the desert. Fun memories.
Thank you Sallie, I had a wonderful Christmas. Berta and my room at the Bell in Laughlin was also huge and cheap with the most comfortable beds.
Wow. Really like my choice of pictures. Must have been wonderful to dine while enjoying the show. Great idea on the collage of friends. Just read your Christmas report. Good times with what seems great folks. If you’re like us, we enjoyed all the food and fellowship, but was really glad to get back home and pull the lever on the recliner. How about 3414 for Friday?
I’d been told about this light show but never expected it to be that awesome. Christmas was wonderful but I do like my peace and quiet at home too. Have you down for #3414.
