This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 5 images chosen by readers from my photo files including camping in a luxury bathroom. I do love to share those memories.
Diane chose #6008. I don’t usually see many sunrises, and this one a bit late, but so nice to just step from my tent and get this fantastic view of the Indian Ocean at Tsitsikamma National Park, South Africa.
Jerry chose #1127. An interesting place to visit, once, in Kanab, Utah known as Little Hollywood.
Jodee chose #0006. The lush forest on the edges of meadows near Jacob Lake, Arizona were set off by this late afternoon moon. I love me a good forest. And deserts, mountains, beaches…
Sherry chose #516 and she’s a birder so ought to enjoy this Knysna Lourie I saw hiding in the branches at Birds of Eden in Plattenberg Bay, South Africa from March 2013. Almost a clown face wouldn’t you say.
Just in case you didn’t believe me
Mary Lou chose #3645. This building houses two very elaborate full bathrooms complete with toilet, sink, shower and bathtub for private use in each campsite at Green Fountain Farm Resort Port Alfred, South Africa. Joan and I have stayed here twice during our travels. The second visit in 2014 I actually camped in the bathroom as it looked like rain and we didn’t want to soak my tent.
My choice this week… The drive home last Friday from Bill’s son and DIL who hosted Thanksgiving in their new home in Spanish Fork. We had a lovely time even though it was cold and the surrounding mountains were dusted with snow.
Bonus because we got to meet Bill’s new grandpuppy, Ranger.
Please join in for next week by leaving a number between 0001 and 9999 in your comment below. Thanks for playing along with Foto Friday Fun.
Do you have a favorite this week?
Wow what a bathroom!! I’d sleep in there too. Ranger is simply darling! I love corgies almost as much as beagles. My bird looks exactly like one I saw at the butterfly garden in Key West. I was mighty unhappy that this pair were confined to this indoor setting suitable for butterflies but not IMO for birds. Gorgeous they were and so is your picture.
I’d like #9287 for next time please.
Was a pretty cozy camp space with all the conveniences. The puppy is adorable. Glad you got to see a Lourie even if with the butterflies. Have you down for #9287.
More wonderful pics from the archives – those trees look fifty feet tall, and gorgeous! The Indian Ocean is beautiful. Corgi pups always remind me of kangaroo rats….until they stand up 🙂
Oops! 5760 for next week please.
Thanks. Those trees could be 50’tall. The pup is adorable. Have you down for #5760.
I love all of these photos, the puppy is cute, how lucky to see a Knysna Lourie, as for camping in the bathroom, much easier then packing up a wet tent 🙂 The first picture brings back so many great memories but every time we left there we packed up a wet tent! Hope you have a good weekend
Diane. 7008 for nest week please.
Isn’t camping in the rain fun? 😉 Have you down for #7008.
Love that birdie! Very cute, and a good catch. I think I would have camped in that bathroom, too. I’ve been in some bathrooms that I could live in, period.
Hey, a well laid out bathroom has everything needed for camping/living.
Enjoyed all the photos. Ranger looks like a great dog. My number for next week is 7943.
Thanks Mary Lou. Ranger is a cutie. Have you down for #7943.
Liked them all. Funny that I picked one in your present hometown. How about an even 5000?
I thought it was funny too, but that pic was taken years ago. Have you down for #5000.
Ranger is really cute. Probably a handful, too. I like the mood of that drive home photo.
#7435 for me this week.
Oh yes, Ranger is a handful. Have you down for #7436.
Adorable pup! Sounds like a nice TG too…. I know what you mean about interesting to visit ONCE! We are on that kind of a roadtrip right now… Territory where we’ve already visited all those kind of places, but it’s the quickest route to the Canal Cottage, which is calling our name!
Thanks as always for the fun tour of your amazing memories . Back to normal next week I hope. Whilst traveling, commenting is sporadic, due to Internet and energy both being iffy!
Kind of takes the fun out of a road trip but sometimes it’s about getting there quickly. Especially to enjoy warm weather on the water. Be safe.
Well, I have not been a good blogging partner lately. Sorry.
I loved the Indian Ocean photograph, the Spanish Forks pic, and the bathroom pics. Camping is okay but I like flush toilets and showers.
Random dot org says 497 is my next number and it is my loss I didn’t get something in before.
Holidays are busy times to spend with your lovely family. I too like a little luxury with my camping. Have you down for #497.
