This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 9 images chosen by readers from my photo files including a real blast from the past. I do love to share those memories.
Diane chose #5008. Back in March 2013 I caught this sunset over the Weaver Mountains near Kirkland, Arizona not far from my Yarnell home.
Sherry chose #523. I seem to take many photos while driving and took this shot of the Vermilion Cliffs behind me as I started to drive up on the Kaibab Plateau on August 10, 2011. Probably returning from a shopping trip in Flagstaff.
Shane chose #9077, one of seven photos in a panorama taken March 24, 2014 at Augrabies Falls National Park, South Africa. Sometimes the scene is just too big for one shot.
Bibi chose #1979, “year my daughter was born!” This shot from February 1979 of my dear friend Ed and me in Downers Grove, IL.
Jodee chose #1130. Although I dearly love jewelry this is not my collection. Yet I did see some pieces I liked at the Movie Set Museum in Kanab, Utah back in October 2011. See anything you like?
Mary Lou chose #2010. Yet another road shot of the Vermilion Cliffs this time dropping off the Kaibab Plateau on September 29, 2011.
Barb chose #1123, her husband’s birthday. A belated Happy Birthday Bob! This rather fuzzy shot of sandstone bluffs along the Johnson Canyon Road in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was taken October 25, 2011.
Yogi had randomdotorg choose #2331. In March 2013 while staying at Wild Spirit Backpackers Lodge in South Africa a couple other guests and Bongi with her mother Ceth joined me at the beach in Nature’s Valley. Bongi was a little shy of the waves at first but soon got the hang of it.
My choice this week taken October 12th this year when the last light shone on Mt Hayden looking east at Grand Canyon and beyond.

Do you have a favorite this week?
No favourite, just love them all especially my sunset and the one of you in 1979, I would not have recognised you there though I must admit. 6008 for next week please. P.S. flights are being looked at but no finalisation until after we return from Xmas in the UK. Will be away from 14 – 31st Dec.
Have a fab weekend Diane
Thanks Diane. This is much fun for me to look back at old photos. Have you down for #6008.
My favorite was 2010. Love the Vermillion Cliffs. 1127 for next week.
I too love the Vermilion Cliffs and their ever changing colors. Have you down for #1127.
All that water is amazing! My godmother left me her collection so I still have several lovely pieces of native american jewelry with me – so these are definitely “for me” 🙂 Bongi and her mama are adorable. 0006 for next week please.
We got very lucky at Augrabies Falls due to lots of rain before our arrival. I treasure my jewelry, especially the inherited Native pieces. Have you down for #0006.
Love Bongi and her mama. My picture is perfect for me since I have tried over and over to get one of those great rear view mirror shots and mine are never as good as that one. Love the picture of you in the 70’s. We were all so young then. I’ll take 516 for next time please.
Little Bongi is a treasure and was such a delight. Just keep practicing those mirror shots. Takes me several to get one that’s any good. Loved the 70s but couldn’t go back. Have you down for #516.
I really like the one you posted for me! That, plus the water shots, especially.
Missed commenting these days; trying to put Thanksgiving together for Sunday, since the real day isn’t a holiday here. Hope you had a goodie.
Enjoy your belated Thanksgiving. Had fun with Bill’s family.
Loved them all especially 2010. My number this week is 3645
Thanks. Have you down for #3645.
My fav this week is the rear view mirror shot!
Thanks Patti. I take a lot of losers that way. 😉
