This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 5 images chosen by readers from my photo archives. Our meme number for this week is 5047. Please link in any day this week by digging into your archives and sharing a photo and story on your blog. Plus check out the other posts linked to the Foto Friday Fun meme.
Shane chose #5047, a nice sunset over the Weaver Mountains in Kirkland, Arizona taken 3-27-15 on the way to Yarnell from Prescott.
Sherry chose #8920. One of my favorite fall views on the North Rim at Harvey Meadow taken last October.
Diane chose #0008, a rather wonky photo of giraffes in Pilanesberg Game Reserve, South Africa taken 4-1-15.
Jodee chose #015 “for the age I was the last time I camped near Bridgeport, CA.” Well I was sort of camping along the North Rim for the 5-20-12 annular eclipse.
Mary Lou chose #8297, unidentified birds at Mountain Zebra National Park, South Africa taken 3-11-14.
My choice this week shows the last light of the day highlighting some of Grand Canyon’s temples taken 10-3-15. Just about time to say goodbye to the canyon.

Do you have a favorite from this week?
Thanks for the memories, one day I hope they will become more than memories but…. Love your favourite shot of the canyon as well. Have a great weekend Diane
Thanks Diane. I hope you get to visit SA again also. No number this week?
My number is 1041
Have you down for #1041.
Wonky or not, love those giraffes. Can’t believe it is time for you to leave the canyon. It seems like summer just started and we’re having temps in the low 30’s this week-end. Thank goodness we are out of here in a week.
Just hit the submit button when I realized I need to give you a number. How about 7394??
As I’ve said before, you would love South Africa. Feels like it’s been a long summer to me and I’m ready for it to be over. Getting cold on the North Rim. Have you down for #7394.
Every picture is beautiful; I love hopping around the country and the globe with you. My favorite this week is the giraffes because it is still just amazing to me that you saw them out there in the wild. (They are kind of wonky animals anyway aren’t they?)
Can’t believe summer is over already (I see your comment above that it has been a long one for you — not long enough for me, too much crud to do not enough time to play).
I will take #1023 if you have room for my choice on that day (next Friday).
Where are you going when you leave the Rim?
Thank you Sallie. I guess giraffes are rather wonky looking. Summer is never long enough, although I’d like to be playing instead of working. Good thing I like my job as I’m tired of working. I’ll be towing the 5er about 80 miles north to Fredonia, AZ, which puts me close to Bill, and maybe a job with the Forest Service. Have you down for #1023.
I guess I’m in agreement with everybody else here. I really like that giraffe photo. It IS wonky. It’s really wonderful, too.
Are you returning to the Grand Canyon next year or are you looking to move to the forest service job year-round? I’ve been wondering about that since you mentioned it and then figured out I could just ask. 🙂
Anyway, #3635 for me, please.
Thanks Shane. Don’t know for sure what’s happening job wise. Still haven’t heard from the Forest Service. However I roll off the North Rim Monday to Fredonia, AZ. Have you down for #3635.
I have to tell you that I love the giraffes, wonky and all.
My number next week is 4750.
Thanks Yogi, I’ll take wonky. Have you down for #4750.
I can’t believe your Grand Canyon season is over! I love the Moon shot.
Thanks. Hard to believe that fall is waning.
