This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 6 images chosen by readers from my photo archives. Our meme number for this week is 0907. Please link in any day this week by digging into your archives and sharing a photo and story on your blog. Plus check out the other posts linked to the Foto Friday Fun meme.
Diane chose #0907, tufted puffin and pigeon guillemots seen at Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon last November.
Yogi chose #171. One lonely saguaro on State Trust Land in Congress, Arizona. Do you also see puppy rock?
Sallie forgot a number so I counted 418 characters in her comment and gave her that. This scene from driving State Route 89A north with Vermilion Cliffs ahead to the left and Echo Cliffs to the right means it’s almost time to cross the Colorado River at Marble Canyon and swing west across the Marble Plateau towards the Kaibab Plateau. Only about two hours from my North Rim home.
Shane chose #6693, shells on rocks surrounding a tiny tidal pool along the Tsitsikamma Waterfall trail hiked with Joan in February 2014.
Sherry chose #3366. One of the most commonly seen species on South African safari these Impalas were at Hluhluwe iMfolozi National Park.
Jodee chose #1210 “for Tessa’s birthday.” While driving a frontage road along the Colorado River north of Bullhead City I got a chuckle from this sign. Guess if you drove it all the time it would have made more sense.
My choice from the best rock safari of all times along Cottonwood Road where I never expected to see a rock rhino in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah. Oops, the pareidolia in me is showing. What shape do you see?
Please join in by:

Thank you for joining in the fun. First commenter will chose next week’s photo index number.
Do you have a favorite from this week?
Love my picture I have never seen a real live puffin! The Echo cliffs photo is not loading on my computer ……… Have a great weekend. 0017 for next week please. Diane
Glad to bring a new animal into your life. Will check on the non-loading image. Have you down for #0017. Wondered where you were going to take the Bond numbers next. 😉
Let me see, I see a Rhino.
Great pics as usual.
My number for next week is 6060
Thanks. Glad I’m not the only pareidolia in this crowd. Have you down for #0606.
Hmmm. I definitely see the puppy. I have to squint a little for the rhino. 🙂
#8199 for me this week.
Yet another pareidolia, or almost anyway. Have you down for #8199.
Next time before I forget again: 8139 for Bill’s birthday tomorrow. Whew, really getting up there isn’t he!!
Not sure what I see in the last one, but what I assume is the puppy rock in the second picture looks more like a cow to me. In your area, you can rock-gaze as well as cloud-gaze. Both triggers for the active imagination.
Enjoyed all the pictures, it’s fun to hop around the world with you every Friday. Sorry I forgot a number last time and glad I wasn’t any more wordy in my comment (that was quite a few words to count).
Happy Birthday Bill!!!!
Everybody sees their own things in rock and cloud.
Glad you enjoy my world travels.
Have you down for #8139.
I sure do see that cute Puppy in Yogi’s picture and have to laugh too at the stop sign. I wonder how many years the “new” sign will stay there? Thanks for the new addition to my vocabulary. I had to look up pareidolia. I’d like number 9384 for next time please
I knew you to be a pareidolia. Haven’t been back to that stop sign in years so also wonder if it’s still ‘new’. Have you down for #9384.
Puppy rock – I see it!
Saw the puppy before I saw the saquaro as I was scrolling down 🙂 Love the stop sign, especially as we have been having so much fun with “new” road signs in Washington – Don’t Drug and Drive is a favorite! Bill and son Jeff both have birthdays this month so I’ll take 1317 to cover both of them for next time!!
Another paredolia. Have you down for #1317.
