Elaine chose #6545, from one of my favorite South African National Parks, Tsitsikamma, where I could sit for days watching the waves. I couldn’t ask for much better camping in the forest and watching the sun set into the Indian Ocean. Sigh…
Shane chose #6809, also from Tsitsikamma at the end of the Waterfall trail. This trail involves quite a bit of bouldering and climbing which was well worth the challenge but next time I’m bringing my bathing suit.
Sherry chose #8788. Just a couple of a larger herd of Gemsbok heading for the water hole in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park which straddles South Africa and Botswana. This large antelope is the most commonly seen animal in the park.
Bibi chose #1602, “the date I predict for my daughter’s baby (16th of Feb).” I don’t think she could have predicted this shot of the Colorado River framed by the branches of a long dead tree that she posed by for a photo moments later when visiting in June.
Diane chose #4007, a sight I’m sure she’s experienced in the past. I just love the tufty hair on this youngster seen in Kruger National Park in February, 2014, almost a year to date ago.
Sallie chose #2226, “almost my daughter’s birthday if we added a zero at the end.” Although still a couple weeks away, I give her the stars for her birthday. But first the set up of a telescope at the Grand Canyon’s annual Star Party.
Yogi chose #9927, “just to switch your numbers around.” This view is a bit of a switch around as I was at the edge of the Kaibab Plateau at Marble View but instead of seeing the Grand Canyon I’m looking across House Rock Valley to the Vermilion Cliffs.
Melissa also chose #8788 taking us back to October, 2014 when light on the golden aspen leaves create a glow like none other.
For me this week dreaming of a return to the desert where I could once again hike into a canyon with palm groves.

Just woke up and the sun’s out, wonder of wonders. Your aspen leaves also brightened my day. Next week put me down for # 1977, the year I got married.
What is that bright shiny ball in the sky over Seattle? 😉
Have you down for #1977.
I’m with Bibi, the aspen leaves add inspiration to the morning.
#2491 for me this week, thanks.
Glad you like that brilliance. Just need to come to the North Rim in the fall for a personal experience. Have you down for #2491.
Wow what a great collection of photos, I love them all. That tuft of hair on the giraffe is so funny. Love Tsitsikamma but every time we have camped there I have had to pack away a wet tent!! Sticking with James I will go for 5007 next week. Have a great weekend Diane
Thanks Diane. I think Tsitsikamma was the only place we didn’t pack away a wet tent. Have you down for #5007.
A great collection of photos this week. I love the first two especially. I think I’m going to join in but I’m cheating. I am assuming that you won’t mind. In the meantime I’m picking 4565 for next week because 6545 popped up a really nice pipeline photo that bored even me.
I love the way you cheat Yogi. Better than a boring pipeline. So I guess you want #4565 for next week.
These are great pictures. Just love those first 4 and the giraffes and the last one and…………….I just love your pictures. I’ll say it again they are coffee table photography book quality. I sure hope someone day to see that book for sale with your name on it. I think I’ll try #7134 for next week
Thank you Sherry but I think the only book would be on my own coffee table, if I had one, because they are too expensive to produce. Have you down for #7134.
Love the first two shots and that sweet little giraffe! Give me 1219 next week.
Yes those first two shots take me right back to Tsitsikamma. Have you down for #1219.
I think Tsitsikamma is one place we can return to. I loved the hike. Naturally my favourite picture is the giraffe hairstyle. 🙂
Tsitsikamma will always be on the list of return tos.
You have such beautiful photos!
Thank you Jenn.
There are some great shots in this collection, hard to choose a favorite but I’m leaning toward the waterfall with that gorgeous pool of water and the last one, the palms through the boulders. Lovely!
Thank you. From you choices I’d say you’re ready for warm weather.
Thank you for the stars for Cyndi’s birthday! She deserves them. That baby giraffe with the hairdo made me smile out loud! May I have #405? (Time again — I am so boring!)
You’re welcome. Baby everything is cute but that hairdo… Have you down for #405, which doesn’t sound boring at all.
