All my bags are packed and I’m ready to go… Wednesday night I’m camping in the driveway. Plugged in to have heat because it’s cold in Yarnell at 5000 feet.
Rained most of the day so I loaded between the drops. And also waded in the lake outside the 5th-wheel.
Did have a little color to sunset so maybe tomorrow will be a clear dry day. I sure hope so.
Because I’m heading south tomorrow. Destination unsure.
Your first line sounds like a song but I think the song goes on to say leaving on a jet plane…..so much better that you are leaving in an RV. You go girl…..can’t wait to hear about your travels.
I’ll be truckin’ down to desert land. Hope I have a signal.
Safe travels ~
Thanks Patti.
We’ll be joining you… hopefully!
Thinking tomorrow night south of Quartzsite. Then I can pick up a few RV things there.
Safe travels & stay warm.
Thanks Teri, I’m going to try.
I was so happy to see a full starry sky Wednesday night when I took Pheebs out & so disappointed to see a full cloudy sky Thursday morning when I took out the Pheebs.. Forecast calling for slowly clearing skies today so maybe by the time you get over Quartzsite way you will be basking in warm sunshine.
I’m sure hoping for some sunshine.
I just love the way you solved the problem of winter travels when you can’t go to Africa. Can’t wait to see where all you go on your journey with your new rig.
Thanks Sherry, had to do something to stay warmer.
With your determination, I’m sure you will have a GRAND time. I sure will miss you, even tho we sometimes do not visit
daily – – just nice to know you are there. My wishes are for you to leave that “cabin fever” behind you, and sing the “On
The Road Again” jingle as you pull out of Yarnell.
Let me know how things are going
Love B
I’ll stop by before pulling out. Will miss you too. You could go with me.
“Leavin’ on a Jet Plane’ came to my mind, too. Anxious to see where you are headed.
Camped just south of Quartzsite. Gorgeous desert and warmer by at least 10F.
Stopped by to give you a hug from CO, Gaelyn. Have fun on your vagabond trip! It’s snowing here in Breckenridge. Right up my alley, but I know not yours. Stay warm.
Thank you Barb, and big hugs back. You may need extras to stay warm. Is a little chilly tonight in the desert but up to 60F tomorrow. 😀 Have fun playing in all that snow.
Hi Gaelyn
We are currently in Lone Pine. Bundled up with heater going and Xmas music playing..Hubby outside with a fire going.
Cant wait to get to Quartzsite. One of my favorite winter destinations. Where are you camped?
We usually go in January. Boondock off Dome Rock Road.
Safe travels.
Rosemary
I have the heat on low in the desert short-term just south of Quartzsite tonight. Will be back mid-January to meet friends. Will look for you then.
You the woman!! I am so jealous of your camper. Hope you go somewhere warm.
It’s about 15F warmer in the desert tonight. It’s a good camper. Have to replace/repair a sink handle that broke off this morning.
Happy travelling and I hope you catch up with the warmer sunshine soon………
Looking forward to hearing about your roadtrip 🙂
Clouds started breaking today over the desert and up to 30C.
So…it’s really that cold and wet there, Huh? Well, I hope you find some sunshine and some warmth!
That was in Yarnell. It’s warmer in the desert. Looks like it will be a sun shiny day.
Oh good. I commented on your Friday post before I read this one! Have a wonderful trip. Destination unknown sounds wonderful! A great adventure.
