Yogi had random dot org choose #6952, this week’s index number. On some days the air is clear enough to see Mount Humphreys 60 miles away from the North Rim Grand Canyon.
Sherry chose #8111, a rode I think she’d like to travel. And Ruby could do this into the Kaibab Forest. Hoping she makes it here some fall to enjoy the golden aspen contrasting with the ever greens.
Diane chose #1777, again. Maybe she’s testing me. But I have so many photos the numbers end up repeating several times. This shot of the startling red cliffs against the intense blue waters of Lake Powell was taken in September of 2011. The landscape is striking but I hard a hard time getting past how much was below the water. One trip here was enough.
Jo forgot a number this week so I’m giving her #44, the number of words in her comment from last week. This has to be the most adorable post office and library I’ve ever seen. Found in Puerto Cito, Baja Mexico where I visited with my dear friend Darlene back in 2005.
My choice this week, back to feeding the birds in Yarnell where I just love to watch the antics of the Gambel Quail. Been good entertainment this week while I’ve been dealing with a bout of diverticulitis and housebound.

Do you have a favorite from this week?
I like all your photos today. The quail shot is quite remarkable!
I hope you get better soon. Sounds miserable.
Next week’s number for me courtesy random dot org is 4852
Thanks Yogi. Hopefully on the mend. Have you down for #4852.
So sorry to hear you are housebound. Just the word diverticulitis sounds terrible. But your quail shot is wonderful and I love the little post office. Glad to hear Ruby can do that lovely road. I think maybe I should collect a list of Roads Ruby could do. I’ll call it the RRCD. HA! We’ll get back to that canyon some day. SO sorry we didn’t see you in 2011. And just for that I think I’ll take 2011 as my number for next week.
Getting better every day and hope to be on the road in another week. Of course when you return to the canyon we can take my truck on the RRcan’tD. So have you down for #2011.
Ha ha sorry about the number I must have been dreaming but glad of the photo I got and of the link. Lets make it 1666 for next week. I also get diverticulitis it is very painful, get well soon. Take care Diane
I too thought it was funny. Not the diverticulitis part, but getting better every day.
Love the tiny post office and library, and really like the Lake Powell one. Was there long ago. Sorry you’re sick…maybe I sent you something. I am much better now.
Next week I’ll have # 1034, the time it is right now. (10:34)
Aren’t they adorable. What I have isn’t contagious. Have you down for #1034.
Love the one of Lake Powell.
Sorry to hear you’re not been well, Gaelyn. Thanks for the lovely image you chose for me. I don’t know how to choose a number – do tell! My favorite is the photo with the huts and also the feeding quails. Have a great weekend! Jo
Hope you’re feeling better soon and back on the road. Not many books in that library in Baja Mexico for sure! After a bit of a break, hopefully I’m back to blogging again. I’ll need to find time to look back and see what I’ve missed. I’ll take 625 for next week.
After a week of antibiotics I think I’ve kicked this again. ave you down for #625. Glad you’re back.
What strikes me about the first photo – and the first thing I thought of – is the flat wide horizon. It’s really something! And I agree cutest post office and library, ever!
The canyon is like a gash in the flat expanse of desert.
Get well soon! But must admit that the quail would be a good diversion. So sweet. I love all the pictures, but there’s something about those red cliffs above the blue lake that really calls my name.
I think I’m back so if it isn’t way way way too late, I’ll take the last number in your choices. I think it was 9000
Thanks and welcome back. Feeling better now. The contrasts at Lake Powell are almost hard on the eyes. Have you down for #9000.
