All in a day. Last week Teri and I went out on the Walhalla Plateau stopping at overlooks on the way to Cape Royal. We waited until the morning rain passed and saw a lot of changing sky.
Moving away to the east from Point Imperial.
Hanging low over Mt Humphreys to the south from Cape Royal.
Mesmerizing sun rays to the west.
View skies from around the world or share your own at Sky Watch Friday.
These are now so familiar to me. Love especially that third shot.
I love seeing images by other people of places I’ve been for the memories invoked.
You know with views like that it would be hard to get to work.
These are my views at work.
I liked the photo with the moon. It was really brilliant this week. Blue shadows, they say. Thanks for sharing your photos.
Thanks Rick. Once the clouds went away the moon was brilliant.
Wow – what magnificent scenery!
Thanks. I never tire of looking at the canyon.
Absolutely breathtaking. Your photos make me want to return to the canyon for a 3rd visit, but it seems as if there is always somewhere new to explore. One day, maybe we’ll make it back, but in the meantime I will keep enjoying your photos!
Don’t think it’s going anywhere. So many places to see.
Oh that sun rays picture is fantastic. What a great day watching the skies over the canyon.
Thanks. That it was.
Grand Canyon photos you posted are awesome!

Thanks.
Sounds like you’ve had a few drops over the last few weeks. Love the photos as always. Can’t get enough of the Grand Canyon views.
Had a lot of cloud and some rain early in the week. More coming I think.
Beautiful ! Long time I haven’t been there !
Thanks. It’s always beautiful here.
Gorgeous shots of the canyon, but my favorite is the one with the fingers of God ~ stunningly beautiful. I love your #SWF contributions! I’m gonna have to tweet this one! 😉
Thanks Cathy. The canyon does provide a good backdrop to beautiful skies.
Lovely contribution to SWF!
I always look forward to your Grand Canyon shots! Beautiful as always.
Thanks Peter.
Magnificent!
Love all you images—note I said images. I wonder when pictures or photos turned into images? Interesting.
I like the one with the rays shining down. As kids we said those were slides for the Angels to play on. MB
Love that image of Angels on slides.
fabulous images, love the last one.
Wow! those rays…speechless.
Perfect day beginning to end. Thanks for sharing it.
