During monsoon season in the Southwest the sky constantly puts on a show.
In fact lightning was responsible for the Warm Fire mid-June 2006 where these photos were taken.

Simply spectacular skies! You’ve outdone yourself this time.
Thanks Yogi.
Beautiful beautiful skies. The clouds are fantastic. Here in Arches National Park we have blue blue skies but not so many clouds. I assume you all can use the rain. I think the first picture is my favorite. Excellent look at what the fire from lightning or careless people can do. Nice juxtaposition.
Glad you got blue skies there as it’s cloudy and raining here. Yes, we can use the rain. Enjoy.
Oh, WOW!! These are awesome and your captures are incredible, Gaelyn!! Really took my breath away today!! Thanks for sharing the beauty and the drama!!! Have a great weekend!!
Thanks Sylvia. The monsoon skies are incredible.
Awesome clouds in the sky, – perfect for SWF!
Thanks Hans.
Brilliant skies.
Sydney – City and Suburbs
Wow, really dramatic skies here! The second and third shots are my favorites… really beautiful.
Fantastic skies. That third shot is spectacular.
Fantastic storm clouds!
Gorgeous photos! The dead trees in front of those clouds makes for very dramatic photos.
There is a beauty to the standing dead.
Those clouds look as if they are carrying a heavy weight. Stunning photos.
Thanks Gemma. They brought some heavy rain.
