I’ve been to Tsitsikamma National Park four times now and will never tire of this magical place with forest to the edge of the sea.
From sunrise to sunset, watching the sea mesmerizes me. I’ve taken hundreds of photos of the waves crashing on the rocks.
Such a marvelous view to enjoy coffee and rusks for breakfast.
Now even Ranger Wanda Lust has been here and agrees this is a very special place.
Rock hopping and tide pool explorations fill the afternoon. I really need to learn more about the geology along this coastline.
Our camp couldn’t be more perfect.
I’m trying to catch up on the many adventures I’ve had so far in South Africa but having my computer stolen and loosing so many photos has slowed me down a bit so I’ll be jumping past the return to Kruger and try to be more timely. For more posts on the days at Kruger check out my travel companion and guide Joan’s posts.

No need for apologies of any kind. For those of us who no longer have a hope of seeing all these marvellous places, it is wondrous to see them at all.
Such a pity and pest to have your computer nicked.
Hope all goes smoothly for the rest of your trip.
I am happy to share my travels.
Whoa, beautiful spot.
I’m going to have to try rusks for breakfast.
Rusks are very nice dipped in coffee, otherwise a bit hard.
Look like great pictures to me.
I think you should write a children’s book, “Where in the World is Ranger Wanda?”
That is a great idea! Of course Wanda needs to get around a bit more.
Love that little park ranger. She’s sure lucky to get to go on all your adventures. Each place you go is so fabulous I wonder how you can leave to go to the next. And then, that one is amazing too. Great pictures!!!
I really need to remember to get Ranger Wanda out more. Much like your travels, every place is special.
You’re not the only one with a love affair with the Tsitsikamma. I have a very special place in my heart and being reserved for the Tsitsikamma.
Just one of the many magical places in SA.
You have captured some brilliant shots here Gaelyn. Love this place too especially as we have such a great camping spot. 🙂
You picked out a great site. Sad to leave tomorrow but excited about our next adventure.
The stone formation on the second to last reminds me of a crocodile. Wanda Lust has seen many beautiful scenes, so I trust her judgement. Have fun, Gaelyn.
There are so many shapes and faces in the rocks there. Wanda knows best. 😉
Beautiful shots! May I know where to find the tide pools in your second last photo? My husband and I are going to visit Tsitsikamma this month end and your photos excite us!
Thanks. You’ll love Tsitsikamma. I believe those tide pools were almost below the campground. The entire coast is fantastic and take a walk past the swim beach to Storms River Mouth.
