This week’s Foto Friday Fun features 4 images chosen by readers out of my photo archives. These are all from my current journey in South Africa.
Sallie chose #526, “Because it is so close to the last.” These were the last lions on our last day the second visit to Kruger National Park. They were taking a break from mating, which we also saw and you can too in Joan’s video below. This is something I never expected to see.
Bibi chose #444 because, “I like 4s.” Instead of 4 I only can show you 3 of these unidentified ducks seen from the Mfazana bird hide at iSimangaliso Wetland Park near St Lucia in South Africa.
Diane chose #399, “for no particular reason.” This hippo, seen in Kruger National Park, may have been yawning for no particular reason or to send a defensive message to another hippo. (Sorry for the lousy quality, it was far away.)
Yogi chose #400. A sunrise through the windshield in Kruger National Park. Yes, me the not morning person saw many sunrises while in the park as it’s the best time to view wildlife.
My choice this week is also from Kruger National Park, and no, this elephant doesn’t have five legs.
Thank you for joining in Foto Friday Fun where readers choose a number from my archives and I share the corresponding photo and a story. To join in the fun for next week leave a number between 370 and 990 in a comment and maybe see your chosen image next week.
Do you have a favorite from this week?
Look for other photos posted on Geogypsy Facebook page not usually seen here.
Feel free to share this.
A bit of a naughty post from you today what with mating lions and 5 legged elephants and all. Hee hee hee….
My number for next week is 579
Just part of life. 😉 Have you down for 579.
Can you arrange for a tour of the Mohair factory for Joan and I?
My favorite is the elephant!
My next number is 918 cuz that is Tulsa’s area code.
Kind of fun, huh? Have you down for 918.
I have no idea what the ducks are, but thanks; I like ducks. Had a pet duck once.
And if that’s not the elephant’s leg, it must be his……I had no idea.
888 for me. Those eights look cool.
How appropriate to give you ducks then. Ha ha about the elephants 5th leg huh. Have you down for 888.
Great post, just wish our connection was good enough to watch the video! I hate this slow connection, I miss so much!! Love the elephant 🙂 950 for not particular reason for next week. Keep well Diane
I sympathize with the slow connection. As we travel it changes all the time from half way good to terrible. Have you down for 950.
What a treat, Gaelyn.
I get to tour the wildlife parks of South Africa on my lunch break.
Where to next?
Glad you are enjoying. We are currently at the beach.
Well I’m again pretty disgusted that I always comment on your posts and again I forgot to ask for a number. 370 please!
LOL at this post. Love the elephant with 5 legs or 4. Gorgeous Lions taking a break apparently although I can’t get the video to play but perhaps when I get to a better signal. Thanks again for taking me along.
Watching the lions mating was a definite highlight of Kruger. I’ll post some of my own video of the ‘event’ one of these days. Have you down for 370.
