A herd of elephants crossed the Oliphants River in Kruger National Park. I presume to get to the other side. Notice the waterline?

Looks like it was deep in some places; just a patch of dust on the big ones’ heads.
They look now squeaky clean.
One of my favorite memories from Botswana is a herd of elephants cooling off in the river … it was so neat to watch them from a boat … they looked like they were playing and having fun.
I love the social structure and activities of elephants. They seem some of the most playful of animals. We could learn a lot from them.
Looks like you are having a great time there. Nice pic of elephants.
I am enjoying your posts. Keep them coming.
Thanks Nancy for being such a good photography teacher. Having a wonderful time, now at the beach.
What a spectacular shot. Keep’em coming.
Elephants and Olihants. Just rolls off the tongue. Love it and them. At the BEACH did you say? Are there elephants at the beach? Now that would be even more fabulous than just elephants in the same place you are. Oh my……
Well it would have been better if I could type ELEPHANTS and OLIPHANTS! 🙁
Not sure we’ll see elephants at the beach but maybe hippos and crocs.
I like how they all stick so close together, I’d love to see an elephant in the wild one day. Another great photo!
Super. aren’t they just so wonderful. MB
WOW! Nice sighting. I bet you wish you got there a bit earlier.
