Looking for me?
This elephant in Kruger National Park seemed to be playing hide and seek. As you may know, my favorite of the big animals and I’ll be back to see them very soon.

You should also visit Kenya. There are variety of elephants there plus all big five.
Kenya is on my list.
peek-a-boo!! that is one excellent photo!! 8*)
Beautiful photo. A big elephant in Kruger National Park just now attacked and rolled a car, injuring two people so we must always keep in mind they are wild animals. Always be careful
Thanks Elsa. I read about this unfortunate occurrence in Kruger. Visitors to National Parks are often lax when it comes to safety. I should be there in a few weeks and so look forward to seeing the elephants again.
Oh my goodness were you on that road? So close to such a magnificent creature? It seems to me that when animals attack in any way, it is often because they were provoked. You are not a provoker of that I am certain.
I was looking backwards from the truck window at that big guy. No way I want to provoke an elephant, or any other wildlife. Wait until you see the elephant in Saturday’s video.
Fantastic photo! He certainly had his eye on you! You’re so right about not provoking wildlife. It amazes me sometimes the chances people will take to get up close to a wild animal, and unfortunately sometimes they pay dearly for it.
On the 30th of December an elephant flipped a car in Kruger, people are OK. But they were following too close while videoing and the ele was in musth, getting ready to mate, a time of possible aggression.
This is so cute. Great capture Gaelyn.
