Just before dusk the lions came out and laid on the warm road where they may sleep for the night. At Kruger National Park in South Africa the animals always have right away.

Good one. I know that cows have the right of way in India, and so do elephants, I think, the latter for obvious reasons. Don’t argue with an elephant.
Not good to argue with a lion either.
Oh SIGH! What a sight. Lions on the road. I definitely think all animals should have the right of way everywhere they go. How many days until you return? Less than 20 I know.
Agreed that all animals should have that right, even the tiny ones. 17 days til I leave. 😀
What a sight. I would sure hate to have a car problem there.
Me too.
Very nice!!! Would love to be witness to that pride:)
Some day.
Hi Gaelyn,
Looks like you are gearing up for a great trip. What a thrill to see these animals taking THEIR space.
Safe Travels,
17 days and I’m gone.
Make darn sure your rental car doesn’t have any problems on the road or sit tight and wait for help to arrive..
For sure. But it was very exciting and happens pretty frequently. The lions that is not the breakdowns. 😉
That’s an amazing photo. It looks as if the lions aren’t bothered at all by the cars going by.
Seems they are used to the vehicles.
