Often during the monsoons of summer a break on the western horizon allows the last light to shine on the rock like islands in the Grand Canyon. Taken from the North Rim, Wotan’s Throne, Angels Gate and the Deva Temple almost glow.

I never tire of your Grand Canyon pics.
Good thing because I have lots of them.
I agree with Yogi and that photo is spectacular. It belongs as a magazine showplace picture.
Simply a gorgeous picture. Oh to have been there and seen it in person. Lucky lucky you!! Thanks for letting me share your moment.
Monsoon, Deva Temple….shades of India in the canyon!
Early geologist Clarence Dutton was into world mythologies and named many landmarks in the canyon.
I’m with Yogi on this one. I just don’t get tired of the Grand Canyon. The dark background with the sun shining on the mountains in the front makes for a brilliant picture.
Thanks. I miss the canyon, but not so much in the winter.
Incredible … I love your Canyon pictures. There is really nothing like this!
Thanks Sallie. I know you like the canyon shots best.
Glorious! MB
