Although this photo of Kolb Studio on the South Rim was taken in February 2010, it won’t be long before there’s a lot of snow at Grand Canyon. In fact they’ve already gotten some.

Another beautiful picture. You must have gone for a winter visit. Love the angle.
The snow was very deep last time I visited the South Rim during winter. It was gorgeous but don’t know if I’ll be doing it again real soon.
We were there in February 2012 and there was no snow (and no crowds). It was wonderful. We stayed at one of the cabins. Cozy.
Winter is the best time to visit the South Rim because of the lack of crowds. Summer is chaotic.
Cold but beautiful. Have a good day, Diane
Never seen the Grand Canyon in the wintertime. It’s time I did.
Guess so. It isn’t that far away.
I know not a lot of people get to see this in person, but I can just imagine the sight
It’s a lot less crowded during winter on the South Rim if you can handle the possibility of snow.
Snow is cold:) No thank you:)
Absolutely beautiful, Gaelyn, any year, any time!
Oh, if that was now, I was going to say girl it’s about time you get the heck out of Dodge! Beautiful though I’d far rather see it in pictures than in real (I think you’re the same?)
As much as I love the canyon, I too would rather look at photos of snow than be there dealing with it. And thank goodness, no snow in Yarnell, yet.
Beautiful,
