Nothing could be Grander than a Toroweap sunset over Grand Canyon. A remote and iconic view with a 3,000 foot vertical drop that few see.

That is steep! Lovely colors, too. Toroweap makes me think of a crying bull…Toro weep.
Toroweap is a native word. Weep is valley and toro is dry. Which it is very dry on the Espanad or high valley above the river. And no real easy way to get to the river.
What a shot that is. Just beautiful. I imagine there aren’t many spots where you can get the river so well.
The Colorado River is better seen from the South Rim in most cases. But nowhere else gives a view like this.
Wow!! It has been years since I’ve been to the canyon and it always seemed hard to get pictures of the river.
The river can be seen from the South Rim in pretty good stretches but nothing like this view.
Wow, what a beautiful landscape and rare view of the Grand Canyon. You must have no fear of heights to be able to get that shot!
I don’t fear heights but am extremely cautious at them.
Another breath-taker. Awesome!!!
