This week’s Foto Friday Fun includes 8 images chosen by readers picking a number out of my photo archives. All but one from Arizona travels.
Yogi choose #31, “a prime number and I love those.” Sunsets are always prime at Grand Canyon.
Bibi chose #444 as “Very often when I look at the clock it is 4:44.” I guess I don’t pay attention to time, except when I’m on a work schedule. But fall is time for the quaking aspen to put on their spectacular show.
Sherry chose #365 because it sounds like a good number. I love a good long distance view like this one of the Weaver Mountains from Wagner Road in Arizona.
Stewart chose #195, “because you stopped your old blog on 19th May and that’s my Birthday!” I started the new blog on March 26th, my birthday. And this shot near Lake Pleasant was taken in early March.
Diane chose #653, “I will go Porsche model 356 backwards this time.” This would be a fun highway to cruise a Porsche along, especially during fall.
MaryBeth chose #222, “supposed to be good luck when the clock shows 2:22. Who knows.” I felt lucky to get this distant view of the Colorado River carved Marble Canyon and way beyond to Navajo Mountain almost 100 miles away.
Jo chose #399 for not particular reason. I am sure she’s seen this type of giraffe behavior as I did in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Elaine chose #114. The Grand Falls of the Little Colorado are appropriately called the Chocolate Falls.
My selection this week is the first Hummingbird Moth I’ve ever seen and this is the best shot as it was so flighty. I’ve been staying a few days with a friend in the desert of Congress, Arizona while visiting various doctors and getting a battery of tests. Seems I have gall stones (hope that’s not TMI). Western medicine would immediately, well after waiting for an appointment, suggest surgical removal of the gall bladder. I reason that surgery is the last choice so am doing a liver/gall bladder cleanse over 3-4 days. Not fun to be sick so hoping for the best. Have a great weekend.
For next week I’m changing it up. Maybe you have a favorite photo you’d like to share for Foto Friday Fun 25. Yea, I made it that long. A couple options here: Share a favorite photo, and at least a short story to go with it by:
A) emailing the photo and story to Geogypsy and I will post on this blog with appropriate link
B) email a link from your blog that includes the photo and story to Geogypsy and I’ll include it on this blog
C) choose a number between 94 and 104 for me to post
D) all of the above
Thank you for joining in Foto Friday Fun. I really enjoy digging through my archives and pulling the stories from my memories. Do you have a favorite from this week?
Look for other photos posted on Geogypsy Facebook page not usually seen here.
Really love those crunchy autumn leaves you gave me….but those chocolate falls…something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, yum…
I’ll choose # 100. Reminds me of those $1.00 shops….
I felt like I should have been drinking up chocolate joy at the falls. Have you down for 100.
Great set of photos and the giraffe shot is superb. Ha ha that raod would cause me to put my foot flat and I am sure I would be caught for speeding! On the other hand the scenery is so beautiful it may take me all day to get anywhere. Email sent. Have a good weekend Diane
I thought you’d like to speed down that highway but know what you mean about stopping a lot also. Email received. Thanks for playing along.
I always love a good Canyon shot but my favorite was the Fall Color shot.
Thanks Yogi. No number, or photo/story, this week?
Love my picture of the LONG road. I hope my life is like that for as long as it lasts. Looking down that long road to wonderful things ahead. I’m going to cop out and give you a number. I’m not nearly as well organized as you are and would have a terrible time trying to find my favorites. I choose 94.
I love being out on the highway and hope to for as long as possible also. No cop out. Have you down for 94.
I’m so sorry you’re not well, Gaelyn and pray the cleanse does the trick without surgery.
My special favourite is the view from Wagner Road. I also can’t believe that my choice brought up another African memory. Great shot of my favourite animal. My choice for this week is 102 – no reason! Get well soon. (((Hugs))) Jo
Thank you Jo. So far the cleanse is helping me feel better already, although a bit hungry.
No surprise to get South Africa photos as I took 1000s. Have you down for 102.
I could never choose a favorite amongst all these stunning ones Gaelyn. They are all excellent.
Thanks Joan.
Cannot choose a favorite pic – all the #s produced great ones. I just saw a hummingbird moth this week, fluttering around some gentians. They’re so unusual! Read about apple cider vinegar (organic) and gall stones – don’t know if it really helps or not but might be worth a try if you’re not in constant excruciating pain. Don’t do what my father-in-law did and wait too long – his gallbladder was turning gangrenous.
I’m doing a recommended apple juice fast. Not in pain and have a consultation Tuesday with specialist.
The hummingbird moth is very cool.
No number for this week?
Love all the Grand Canyon shots and the hummingbird moth. But the giraffe photo is amazing…so sweet.
Feel better soon!!!!!!
I knew you’d like seeing the canyon.
Am starting to feel better, thank you.
No number this week?
Wow All good images. I love the one you chose for me. And I was reading about Chocolate Falls and there ya have it.
I will get back to you about # and picture.
So sorry about the gallstone stuff. My daughter in her 30’s had an emergency gall stone removal–that went ok–she had no gall stones at all just felt ratty one day and went to the doc and they zapped her into the hospital and did the deed. It was too far gone to save. We are not doctor going people and are seldom sick so things just happen. Do the cleansing and I hope it works.
She goes to a Naturopath now. Good Luck!! MB
Thanks MB. I have a consultation with a specialist Tuesday. Hoping the cleansing means no surgery. If only my insurance would cover a Naturopath that’s the route I’d take.
Glad you liked the Chocolate Falls.
The choices this week are excellent ones. Some stunning shots with my favourite being the one with the fall colours. I’ll try my best to get a photo off to you for Friday’s post.
Thanks. I hope you will send a photo and story for me to post next week.
A wonderful collection of photos this week! I love the Chocolate Falls! Imagine a chocolate fountain that big….
Put me down for 97, and I’ll go search for a photo and/or a link for you.
I would drown in a chocolate fountain that big with a smile from ear to ear.
Hope you will share a photo and link but also have you down for 97.
