When the aspen turn I know my season at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim is almost over. It’s a sweet and sad occasion. I love being in the park from spring to fall and every year it is difficult to say goodbye. Yet I really don’t do winter very well so it’s the perfect time to leave before the snow flies.
This is a submission to WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Changing Seasons
Stunning! I would find it hard to leave when it’s looking like that, too. I especially like the first one. I have a post up now that would fit that challenge (which I didn’t know about until now) but I don’t want to rename it so can’t submit it.
Thanks Candace. Maybe you’ll get involved in next week’s challenge. They come out on Fridays.
Amazing photos. I also do not do winter very well……… Christmas in Morocco sounds like we may just escape some of it.
Keep well Diane
You’re going to have a marvelous warm Christmas. When do you leave?
So pretty. But it’s gotta make you happy and excited to return back every year. I’m with you on winter……dislike. We’re going to some cold places in a few weeks….and good bye shorts!
I’m always ready to leave in the fall and return in the spring. Pack your warm clothes.
That first picture is absolutely stunning! Beautiful!
Another set of gorgeous shots.. The colors of the leaves in the first shot are beautiful. 🙂
The first picture is postcard quality. Stunning. The autumn colours is one thing I often wish we had here in South Africa
Very beautiful…we had fall leaves and yesterday had nearly a foot of snow. Ick.
Sorry to be absent a bit from blogging. Recent death in the family has been taking a lot of my time.
Unique perspectives on the leaves….really like both pictures. The colors are beautiful.
Lovely change of seasons photos — perfect for the challenge….I’m with you on the ‘winter’ thing. Where are you now while you wait to embark to SAfr? It might get cold before February.
Thanks Sallie. It’s already cold, IMO, in central AZ. Not easy to wait.
I love the mood of the top photo, looking through the colourful leaves to the dark sky.
That top photo is a stunner!! You’re making that Nikon talk… 😉
