My world for the last week has been at the computer doing research. Now I love travel planning for places I want to visit, but my butt’s sore, my eyes are crossed and my fingers ache.
I know you’ve heard this before, but I’ve made a travel decision. Nice thing about decisions is they can be changed.
“So go”, you’re probably thinking. And I will, but not until after the first of the year. Still need to do more research. Yea, I’m anal about that. And it’s not like every minute of my journey will be planned. I just like to have a long list of possibilities.
Oh yea, where am I going? Maybe the above photo will give you a hint.
Tour more of the world, right now, at Our Word Tuesday.
Chile?
No
South Pole??
We are planning a trip to Italy, maybe Paris, in January or February! Off season rates are lower.
No way, too cold. Off season rates sounds good for your journey.
I am so excited for you Gaelyn since we will be sharing this trip with you, I’m sure. Table Mountain NP, South Africa; what a beautiful destination. Living vicariously…can’t wait!
You got it. Back to Africa.
Hey we got some of those at the Tulsa Zoo!
Well hell, that’s closer than Africa. 😉
Very, very cool Gaelyn! I can hardly wait for the photographs!
John and Ellen
You know there’ll be many.
Aha I just knew it, off to the Cape in S.Africa again. That is just great as I can enjoy the trip with you and try to believe that I am there….. have a good week. Diane
The Cape and beyond.
I’m jealous! No wonder you want to research all the possibilities!
I’m building on the list of things I didn’t do on the last visit two years ago.
I am excited for you, Gaelyn, I’ve traveled a lot over the years, but never got to Africa for a first trip let alone a second!! That’s fantastic! If you see Jo again, give her a hug for me!!
I may get as far north as where Jo is. I’d love to give her a hug from you, me and many others.
Galapagos? Take me with you 🙂
No, but that one is on my list. Get your tickets.
Wow that is exciting. I have never been so I will be keen to follow your adventures via your blog.
Looks like you are going to my kind of place. Wish I was going too! Researching the trip is fun for me, I love the internet. Looking forward to see your photos.
I was going to guess Antarctica but anywhere you go is great by me. I get to go too and enjoy the fabulous photographs. It will be my after the holiday pick me up!
Way too cold there for me.
You lucky gal! Can’t wait for your departure…for it is one more place I get to learn about! Have you ever rented the documentary “Long Way Down”? After seeing it, I have a desire to travel Africa from North-to-South. JEALOUS!
Haven’t seen the documentary, but don’t own a TV.
Wow Gaelyn, that looks like an interesting destination ! You go girl! Can’t wait to hear more… Hugs Jo
You are coming back to South Africa!!! YAY!!! I really hope that this time we will get a chance to meet and spend some time together. Please, please, please ask me anything you want to know about. Specially down south from Cape Town, down the Garden Route and through the Eastern Cape. I’ll help and make suggestions where ever I can.
Yes I am and will make every effort to meet with you this time. I’ll be there longer and hopefully not in such a hurry. I’m sure to be picking your brains while planning, and there.
YAY!!!! (Yeah, well, scrolling backwards has given me an unfair advantage.) I’m so happy for you. You’ve made the decision, now hopefully the rest of the planning will give you time to get outside and play in the meantime ;>)! You want to save your eyes for all the wonderful sights to see.
Good for you! That will be exciting. Now you’ve got that fancy dancy camera….imagine what you’ll see now. It looks like a great trip but you’re right. It’s good to plan plan plan only to know that you have options. Sometimes you just want to rest BUT you want to take a little morning trip somewhere interesting. It’s always good to know those little secret places. I always think the planning stage is exciting. And the trip part goes much too quickly.
Now I just need to learn how to use that fancy dancy camera. Do you give lessons? Thinking of renting a bigger lens. I love to plan. Thinking Feb & March. Still hunting for a truck camper to play with in the mean time. I will get to southern AZ.
