Actually, fall from the air. Not sure where I was flying over when the colors caught my eye. At first I thought it was rock, then realized fall colors dot the land.

It looks like you are right on the edge of the world 🙂 Great photo. Diane
I love taking shots from 35000. Such an interesting globe we live on.
We flew over Grand Canyon and I was on the opposite side of the plan. Really bummed. Saw a northern edge of Lake Mead. More aerial photos to come.
The world is so different from above. I imagine the land untouched in some areas and wonder what it would be like to float into the areas. What would we see?
Pretty fall from above! Love knowing I’m not the only one who takes pictures from a plane!
That is beautiful, I don’t know where you were either. I”ve flown commercially with my GPS. Sometimes if I hold it up to the window it’ll synch and I can see exactly where we are. Perfectly legal and ok with the airline (except on takeoff and landing of course), they don’t transmit they receive (the gps I mean).
Unfortunately the cheapo-airline Free Spirit doesn’t provide those cool screens showing where the plane is. I always want to know. But I know nothing of GPS, except it gets a lot of visitors lost coming to Grand Canyon.
I like the way you captured the horizon. I guess the Earth IS round!
Very pretty. I always ask for a window seat….
I love seeing the world from 30,000ft.
Beautiful! I’m always nervous about taking photos from aeroplanes in case I’m not supposed to be using electronic equipment!
Thanks Arianwen. I can’t believe you’re nervous about anything with all your adventures. Reading your Galapagos posts got me thinking of adding that to my winter’s Central American plans.
Unique viewpoint from the air. Looks like you could reach out and touch it.
If you look carefully you do see its not the rock but the trees. Don’t you just love the window seat on a plane.
I usually request a window seat. Thank goodness on the flight back I even had some leg room.
