That’s cool. I remember seeing a couple flash floods when I was a kid as we traveled through southern Utah. Dad always seemed to know they were coming and we’d stop at a bridge over a wash until they came.
Just as thrilling as fireworks.
So beautiful and life giving but also very dangerous for the unaware. We had rain here too but no flash floods.
I was glad the water wasn’t flowing Over the road.
Harley looks horrified at the idea of going out in the rain. My childhood doxie, Adolph, didn’t like it either. Those short legs just let everything drag in the wetness.

Pretty Neat
I wondered if it ever rained there! I remember driving through the area with cracked dry soil like in the movies. It must have been incredible.
I was really overwhelmed seeing water flow there. It’s always like you can see where it should flow but never goes.
Those are such dramatic, awesome skies!!! Terrific captures, Gaelyn! Quite an experience!! Have a great week!!
Gaelyn, I have come to love rain or water in the desert!
Rain is such a precious gift in the desert.
Wow, it must have been a good shower for water to flow like that. I imagine every drop is savoured when it rains in the dessert
Rain is a special gift in the desert.
Wow, that’s a lot of water in the desert! I saw on the news that southern Utah was inundated, but we didn’t get one single raindrop on our little piece of earth. Thank goodness for mountain irrigation water, or we would have dried up long ago.
