Sure looked like the rain would fall before we got back to Berta’s. Even though the sun shone through.
And tonight we have a wonderful steady female rain after a magnificent light show with sun streaks. Smells so delightful.
Look for more skies from around the world at Sky Watch Friday.
Truly amazing!!! Love the first shot 😀

I don’t what a female rain is.
I meant to say I don’t know what a female rain is.
Good pictures capturing those rays. You sure are getting your share of rain. Our ground is cracking here.

Around here, we have a smoky haze. Chinle Miller says smoke is thick in Moab. We were hoping to watch the stars and meteor shower from here, Bluff UT, but hazy night skies make that impossible! Have a safe trip back to the rim!
Lovely pictures. Female rain for me is a nice gentle steady one. Perfect for all growing things. Hope it sounded beautiful on your roof and you slept really well as a result.
We had beautiful sun streaks on Wednesday as well. Saw pictures of it all over FB.
I love sunrays. Yours is wonderful. I also like the female rain but right now I’ll settle with whatever Mother Nature will share with us.
Magnificent photos. Have a good weekend Diane
Nice God rays. Rained in Phx all night, too.
Wow! That is some gorgeous scenery. Rays of light are wonderful when they happen….and you caught them. The first pic reminds me of the movie Cocoon when they flash a light down to bring up the people. Do you have UFO sighting in the Grand Canyon? Have a fun weekend. Chris
These light streaks are tough to capture. These shots really do it well!
Beautiful rays through the clouds — looks like blessings from on high~ Is there really such a term as female rain? I think I know what you mean but I’ve never heard the term. We’ve often said that there needs to be more words describing rain. It’s not all alike that’s for sure.
I’ve heard of female rain for a long time indicating a gentle yet steady rain. Agree, there should be more words to describe the rain. I drove through angry rain west of Flagstaff on my way home Friday. At least that’s what I’d call it when you can’t see out the windshield.
We had the most amazing sunbeams last Wednesday. Their always amazing to see and even better when you get a nice pic of them
