I hurry to the rim.
The sky darkens.
Arms reach down to touch the ground.
Last light westers through the clouds.
Illuminating the eastern view.
A touch of glow upon the throne.
A sweet goodnight.
Always Grand.

So pretty! I think my sister just booked a flight to head out there for early September. I’ll have to tell her to come say hi to you =)
Wow, just wow,
My thoughts were the same…WOW! Simply spectacular.
Impossible to get tired of GC. Loved your storm pics! Seems everyone hunts for the perfect sky! I think you found it!!!
Beautiful and in Technicolor, too. Wish I could have seen it in person.
Sure would like to have been standing by your side to see this first hand. But without your pictures I wouldn’t have seen it at all. So beautiful! thank you.
A fantastic series of photos, but oh wow those sunset pictures are so very special. Diane
Frame that last one. It’s too beautiful to be ‘neked’. As my little granddaughter calls it.
You rock!!! Seriously best shots! These nights have been incredible in Tucson as well. I’m working on a lighting/storm post for September that has some incredible night sky action. Last night I just stood out in the rain capturing the cloud to cloud lightning….the best kind:) Gosh you take some incredible shots! Breathtaking to see in person, I’m sure:)
That is an amazing series! Gorgeous views….. it must be to be wonderful to see these beautiful changing skies on a daily basis!
Beautiful shots.
I wish I was feeling better enough to go out there and see it.
Great pictures all, but I think my favorite is the panorama shot. Spectacular!
Great photos–the last one was especially fabulous!
I can’t imagine that you would ever get tired of those views and sunsets. I wouldn’t. Beautiful.
Me again, just so you know, you guys are hogging all the rain. Send some eastward.
I would if I could.
I never tire of these sky shots.
Just gorgeous! So nice that you live there and are able to capture its many moods and looks. Those of us who just go now and then don’t get that feel for it.
I love watching and sharing the many moods of the canyon.
AMAZING! Talented lady! If any of you get to go to the North Rim and have Gaelyn as your personal tour guide…. WoW…. She made our visit so much fun! Girl, your photography is AMAZING!!!!!!!
Thanks Geri. You make me blush. But I do love being a tour guide, especially at the North Rim.
The canyon provided a truly grand sunset. Just lovely, and your photos captured it perfectly.
Haven’t been disappointed in a canyon sunset yet Janie.
