A rainy afternoon created just a shadowy view of the Grand Staircase Escalante’s towering cliffs.
To view more shadows from around the world go to Shadow Shot Sunday 2.

Everytime I drive that highway I want to take the time to turn off and go into the Staircase. Never been there but have seen that area on many trips up there.
A moody road…
I’ve never been that way. Looks like a gorgeous view. There’s a lot to learn about this area. Hope you get some more rain again:)
It’s actually a ghostly view!:)

Interesting photo. Unfortunately, my friend Margareta didn’t get my message about you being at the North Rim until she had already left the area. I know you would both have enjoyed sharing experiences because you have both led very interesting lives (still lead, lol).
Pretty cool looking shot, Gaelyn.
I am on the mend–long slow process but I will get there. MB
Good to see you had more rain. We’ve had the 3rd wettest winter ever here in Port Elizabeth and there is still another month to go.
Beautiful even in the rain (and I’m not a big fan of rainy days).
