The aspen leaves are unfurling.
And the neon spring glow has arrived.
Lupines lift their heads.
The sweet smell of mahogany flowering lures in the nose.
Pinyon pine cones sparkle with sticky sap.
Plateau lizards play in the sunshine.
Vultures soar overhead.
Been unseasonably warm, walking around in short-sleeves with no jacket. Then the wind kicked in this afternoon enough to blow hats off. Must be spring at the North Rim Grand Canyon.
Spring arrived at 8,000 feet and summer is on its way. What’s blooming at your elevation?
Absolutely great photos. Sounds like you are ready for the year.
Just love your photos! Makes me a wee bit homesick for AZ.
Loved all your photographs! I spent 5 summers working at the south rim and made only 2 trips to the north rim! We will try hard to make it there this summer! What do we have blooming here in Zion??? Tourists! Lots of them! All different colors and different languages! Our campground is full all weekend!
Lots blooming over here. But your temps sound fantastic. I switch from cleaning up the property in spring to watering every several days with our 100+ temps:) Hope you are enjoying your day. Chris
Are these with your new camera? Because wow! Gorgeous!
The lizards look like being on a vacation!
Blooming season!
Beautiful spring shots! So far nothing blooming here, but lots of green shoots popping up out of the ground and green leaves opening on the trees and bushes.
Are you busy? Love those lizards and lupines (already?). Wet weather here in Aspen and very chilly. I’m snuggled into a sweatshirt.
Enjoy your warmth!! Here we’re still having winter.. drat! 😉
How lovely. Things are blooming here and are currently being extensively watered by Mother Nature.
What is blloming at my elevation? Very little. Winter is setting in. Although the aloes will be in bloom very soon. I love the picture of the lizards on the tree.
Beautiful spring pictures. Those lizards are so cute!
